The film's official Twitter account has debuted a brand new promo banner for the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot, giving us another look at Academy Award-winner Alicia Vikander as iconic video game heroine Lara Croft, preparing to traverse a treacherous, no-doubt trap-filled location.

We've had a couple of trailers for the movie now, but neither has really appears to have wowed fans of the video game series upon which it's based. That said, the general consensus seems to be that it does look a lot more promising than the previous Angelina Jolie efforts.

Tomb Raider also stars Walton Goggins, Daniel Wu, Hannah John-Kamen and Dominic West, and is set to hit theaters on March 16, 2018

Lara Croft is the fiercely independent daughter of an eccentric adventurer who vanished when she was scarcely a teen. Now a young woman of 21 without any real focus or purpose, Lara navigates the chaotic streets of trendy East London as a bike courier, barely making the rent, and takes college courses, rarely making it to class. Determined to forge her own path, she refuses to take the reins of her father’s global empire just as staunchly as she rejects the idea that he’s truly gone.

Advised to face the facts and move forward after seven years without him, even Lara can’t understand what drives her to finally solve the puzzle of his mysterious death. Going explicitly against his final wishes, she leaves everything she knows behind in search of her dad’s last-known destination: a fabled tomb on a mythical island that might be somewhere off the coast of Japan. But her mission will not be an easy one; just reaching the island will be extremely treacherous. Suddenly, the stakes couldn’t be higher for Lara, who—against the odds and armed with only her sharp mind, blind faith and inherently stubborn spirit—must learn to push herself beyond her limits as she journeys into the unknown. If she survives this perilous adventure, it could be the making of her, earning her the name tomb raider.

I think the more they make women into men the less men will be interested . Does that make sense ? Anyway I hope the women like it , I don't think it will do well .

@thunderforce - You feel they are making Lara more into a man here? What does that even mean?

@Kyos - I think he means she looks a little bit like a teenage boy and not the sexy unrealistic Lara we had for a long time in the games. She looks very close to the reboot persona voiced by Camilla Luddington, I don't mind it, but I would have cast Daisy Ridley instead 100%. She looks more like Lara to me. That's Lara's face.

@Kyos - Not just here but it seems like every movie the female has to be able to beat up at least 3 or 4 men because that is just realistic . She also looks like a kid .

Kudos to the filmmaker for making it look just like the latest videogame. Having said that, I couldn't find it more boring and uninspired.
