Ahead of E3 next week, Skybound Entertainment has announced we'll finally get to see gameplay from Overkill's The Walking Dead at the event. To date, Overkill Software has shown off some pretty impressive cinematic trailers as they revealed the different playable characters over the past few months, but fans are understandably eager to see actual gameplay. As announced by The Walking Dead Twitter account, it's coming at E3 2018; although, it's not clear when exactly it will be shown.

E3 runs from June 12 through June 14; however, most of the major press conferences - which contain the big reveals - are held in the days prior to the event. We don't know if the gameplay reveal is tied to any of these press conferences or if Overkill will simply release the trailer online at some point next week. In any case, it's comforting to know that gameplay does exist and that Overkill's The Walking Dead will actually be in a playable state on the show floor

Overkill's The Walking Dead is a four-player co-op action FPS that emphasizes teamwork. Strategy will seemingly play a key role in your group's survival as each character has their own special abilities, skill trees, squad roles, and play styles. We'll have a better idea when the gameplay trailer drops next week.

Overkill's The Walking Dead is slated for a fall 2018 release for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

Damn, this game looks like it will be better than the TV show.

I find it funny because "OVERKILL" fits with how the tv show's been treated.
