Kratos is back and this time he's bringing his son Atreus along with him as he tears through a whole new realm filled with threats unlike anything we've ever seen before in this new incredible gameplay trailer for Santa Monica Studio's God of War.

The trailer gives us a closer look into the new world Kratos has found himself in since we last saw him in God of War 3. It also features a more paternal Kratos as he goes on this new journey with his son Atreus, immersing themselves deep into a part of the world that is home to the gods and monsters of Norse mythology. Now, Kratos must survive these new lands with his son while taking on a whole new pantheon of gods.

God of War will be released exclusively on PS4 in 2018.

Living as a man outside the shadow of the gods, Kratos must adapt to unfamiliar lands, unexpected threats, and a second chance at being a father. Together with his son Atreus, the pair will venture into the brutal Norse wilds and fight to fulfill a deeply personal quest.
