Lynda Carter On David. E. Kelley's Wonder Woman TV Series!

In a recent interview with Fox News, the actress was asked to share her thoughts on the upcoming TV series (which has so far had little to no details revealed about it) and revealed that she not only thinks David E. Kelley is the right choice to bring the character back to the small screen, but she's also had some involvement with the show so far.

"I love Wonder Woman and I'm just really thrilled they're doing it again. They needed to do it again. I think David E. Kelley is the perfect person to do it."

"He's great at this underlying comedy and character development. I spoke to him several weeks ago and he is perfect for it, because he will really give the characters life. It's not just going to be a cartoon or a comic book thing, which is really... what we tried to do in the '70s."

Carter then went on to reveal that the showrunner asked her opinion about who should play the Amazonian princess.

"He asked me what was my opinion. I get asked all the time who should play Wonder Woman and David said, 'Just tell them to be patient'."

Let's hope Hyppolyta isn't that old.I'd prefer someone in their early to mid 40s.Let's also hope DC/Johns makes sure they don't stray too far from the comics.I don't want to see a show about a modern woman trying to live her life who just so happens to have powers. And please don't disregard all the mythological aspects of the character.

TAZ @ Your missing the point...

She can be made to look 10, 20 years younger, its HOLLYWOOD, her name alone would pull a far wider audience!

LEEE, this is a TV show, not a movie. They are not going to go out of their way to make her younger each week. They might as well get a younger actress.

I don't believe her name would bring in a wider audience. At least not from the demographic their aiming at.Hell, I'm a 30 year old who has been reading comics for 20 years. Her name means nothing to me.I know who she is, but I've never seen the Wonder Woman show and have no desire to.And I'm not even the target audience.

It would also be incredibly gimmicky and cheesy to have her as the mother of the character she played over 30 years ago.Talk about stunt casting overkill.

As long as she doesn't have an invisible jet. That would just be way too cheesy

I'd make Lynda Carter Hippolyta's mother in a feature length film, as opposed to squandering an archetypal figure like WonderWoman in the doomed wasteland of low budget television. It'll end up looking more like Smallville instead of 300(which is more akin to what I imagine).

@Anil...Gail Simone FTW. I love DC comics but I think most of their Top tier properties are harder to pull off than Marvel's and WW is one of them. It can be done right but it will take someone with a fresh yet respectful take to do it.

And RIP Turner. I'm still surprised every time I am reminded he is gone.

im a wonder woman fan, i think they need to stay away from someone that look like lynda carter..dont get me wrong she was great wonder woman in the 70's but this is 2010.. wonder woman evolve so much since...i picture wonder woman as a bad ass ..angelina jolie persona type... now a days i picture wonder woman more like broke shield when she was younger

I have fond memories of the old Lynda Carter Wonder Woman series. I hope that if they're doing a new Wonder Woman series that it can be as good as the original. Let's not turn this into another Smallville. Let's keep the mythological aspects of her character- that's one of her greatest strengths- and let's keep her in the classic costume, or some reasonable variant thereof. Knowing that this has Carter's endorsement so far should be a good sign that they're doing it right.

DC is never going to do a female themed Superhero Movie. They don't sell. We are lucky to get a TV Show.
