Who should play Wonder Woman?

It was recently announced that Wonder Woman would return to television on NBC in a new series. But thie biggest question surrounding the series is...who could you get to play Wonder Woman?

Many actresses could lobby for the part, many would get callbacks, others could go home. They could get an unknown for the part which could be the best way to go, but I'm not certain how they would draw in an audience without some kind of name in the series. So for a list of actresses I thought could play the role, here they are:

Rachel Weisz
Emily Blunt
Megan Fox
Charlize Theron
Anne Hathaway (yes I realize she's playing Selina Kyle but ryan reynolds is playing deadpool and GL so back off)
Bar Rafaeli (dye her hair black)
Maggie Gyllenhaal
Demi Lovato (if they were going for a younger Diana)
Zooey Deschanel
Alexis Bledel
Katy Mixon
Natalie Portman
Liv Tyler
Jennifer Connelly

Below you can list your comments with your thoughts on these choices and if you had any suggestions.

taylor cole or erin cummings.

if its true that nbc are intrested in the tv show, they broadcast "the event" tv show that featured taylor cole.

so it may work that way,but i also think taylor cole is good enough for a big screen version.

Not sure but NO WAY to Megan Fox, she would destroy the character and would have no respect for the source just the way they are going to do to Wonder Womans show thats being produced!! Don't gets wrong I'll still check it out to see if its good or not.

Jessica Szohr. They hate her on the Gossip Girl set anyway so she needs to move on.

It wont be any of them. More than likely a relatively unknown actress will get the part. NBC will suck it up. And the show will be canceled after 2 episodes

If she doesn't have the iconic star-spangled look, invisible jet, and magical transformation, I'm thinking folks are less likely to recognize the character and will likely quickly turn their backs from the show. They also need to cast someone rather sensational in looks and personality, like Megan Gale as well as to cast Lynda Carter as the Queen.

I honestly hoped the tv series didnt work out so we could rather have a more film-aimed plan b. But I always thought Serinda Swan to Wonder Woman material. I noticed to my greatest horror that the infamous rape-show Smallville had raped Zatanna, but she truly looked like Wonder Woman to me:

Then we have the rumour of Tanit Phoenix. Who actually looks truly wonderous:

Taylor Cole or Tanit Phoenix. Also the Anne Hathaway thing is different she is playing a DC character already. Deadpool is Marvel and GL is DC so they are completely different universes. You've also got a lot of big name actresses up there, just seems unlikely they would be in a TV series.

@Comicbookfreak -I don't know a few of those choicers, but if Maggie Gylenhaal is anything to go by, then they are not worth googling.
@Aztony'75 -Gina Carano is more like it. She's perfect. Does anyone remember Jet, from the original Gladiators? She was hot.
Monica Bellucci for Hyppolyta.

Bridget Regan would be awesome for the part. she played Kahlan Amnell in the tv show legend of the seeker. watching that show and how physical she gets in it with the fight scenes would make her a great choice for wonder women.

Truefully I think Wonder Woman should be played like a Disney princess in character and personality so I would go for Amy Adams and dye her hair Black
