The production delays of the still untitled "Man of Steel" sequel may prevent us from seeing Wonder Woman on the big screen as soon as many of us had hoped for, but, it hasn't stopped Gal Gadot from capitalizing on the rain checked role. The Israeli model and actress recently secured a consolation role in the big budget Hollywood police thriller, "Triple Nine."

DC Entertainment's casting decisions of their upcoming flagship film has brought out the skepticism in the most loyal of fans. Many of the same fans that reluctantly accepted Ben Affleck as the Batman, are still having a difficult time accepting Gadot as a suitable likeness of the iconic warrior princess of Themyscira. Even those persons not jarred by Gal's proportions, have cited her acting ability, or the lack thereof, as a cause for alarm.

Since the casting announcement of the Wonder Woman role, WB/DCE have brought in an expert physical trainer, Mark Twight, to get the actress in peak physical condition.

Now, the actress will be honing her craft beside veteran actress Kate Winslet (Titanic, Revolutionary Road) in the John Hillcoat (Lawless, The Proposition) directed movie about corrupt cops planning a heist of some sort.

Is it safe to say she will be learning in good company?

They will be joined by a star-studded cast that includes the likes of Aaron Paul, Casey Affleck, Teresa Palmer, Michael B. Jordan, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Michael Peña so far.

"Triple Nine" is currently set for a 2015 release date.

Could this role be a benefit of the "Batman vs. Superman" production delay that has since been described as "a blessing" by production designer, Patrick Tatopoulos? Let your opinion be known, and, thanks for reading.

Having a Mediterranean accent would be pretty cool.

Just as "Man of Steel" had everything Kryptonian with an alien look/vibe, Wonder Woman should have a Themyscirian/Mediterranean vibe.

greek sounds about right I just don't see why wonder woman would sound Israeli unless she was from Israel

logically she should have a greek-ish accent
not Israeli

I was hoping she would mention bulking up a little for Wonder Woman.

It might help and I hope it does (since were [frick]ing stuck with her), but nothing will ever change my opinion that she is flat out WRONG for the part both in looks and way way more importantly in ability....notice how I didn't specify on what ability? Cause she can't act, can't speak and as seen from the Fast movies....can't even do stunts properly lol.

Why do I somewhat accept Affleck as Batman and not her? Cause Affleck can act but has had a few crap films. Gadot cannot act and brought nothing to the fast movies which are successful....go figure that one out lol.

bcuz she's a sucky actor so you'll get a bizarre wonder woman like ya want

I agree she needs to keep the accent, I think most people probably wont be able to tell the difference between an Israeli accent and Greek accent anyway, unless you are a linguist.....or terribly scrutinizing. LOL

She is so gorgeous to say the least, I think she may surprise a lot of skeptics on her take of WW.

I personally think the Wonder Woman film will come out in 2018. With BS coming out in 2016 and it being filmed with Justice League. So JL will be coming out in 2017. Plus if we are lucky we will get WW and Justice League Dark in 2018. Seeing both films come out that year would be awesome. Plus with WB saying they want to also make small films like Suicide Squad you could see WB making three DC films a year.

The Amazons weren't from greece in greek mythology so why would she have a greek accent? Anyway, it's gonna take a lot for her to fit the role and even then she won't be perfect.

You do not need to be a super actor to play WW.... The same way you don't need to be one to play Cap'n A

You're talking about how she has been portrayed but the idea of the character can go into very deep places that only very good actors could do.

Terrible casting all around--it's like they hit a home run with the Superman casting then said "Okay...time to mess with some people."

why would WW have a greek accent? even if they are based on greek mythology they themselves are not from greece. but as for the topic, Gal is not terrible, she's no Kristen Stewart but still.. she's extremely wooden. i believe Triple Nine (assuming she has a meaty role) will expose her limited range and dramatic ability. i don't see this as good thing but i'd love to be proven wrong here. because i definitely like looking at her.

I have faith in her "Potential" to be the actor thats required to play Wonder Woman, but I surely hope that they force feed her five helpings of steak and potatoes a day as well as weight train 7 days a week cause she lookin like a straight anorexic in that pic...

Whats the opposite of a fat farm?

Okay can we please shut the [frick] up about the [frick]ing accent?!? It's exhausting. Let's just say we could all live either way? I'm imagining her hair black and her eyes ultra blue...IF she bulks up CONSIDERABLY, she'll look good enough.....but it's really the acting that has got me the most worried. This is the moment I personally have been waiting for my whole life...like when you guys got to see your favorite on screen for the first time...I just REALLY hope they don't [frick] it up!

I understand that when it was announced that she's been cast as Wonder Woman that people panicked and stated that she was too skinny but i'm sure that Zck Snyder will have her training in the gym to bulk up a little bit. I dont mind her accent if she uses the accent as Wonder Woman then i dont mind. It's the acting that i'm slightly worried about but with the right direction from the director and the proper dialogue she's been given by talented script writers then i'm sure she would be a perfect representation of Wonder Woman. She's not a terrible actress i'm just optimistic.

I'm more worried about the casting of Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.

her accent is lovely.

she is Israeli, and while i picture the amazons as GRECO-roman...ish, i think she sounds "exotic" enough.

hell, ricardo mantalban and sean connery have played pretty much every ethnicity there is so im not worried about it.

Still pessimistic about her. She still looks more sinister and evil to me than loving and caring.

Complaining about WW have a non American accent proved people's ignorance. WW having an American accent is WRONG if anything.

I'm fine either way, but she's never before been portrayed on screen with an accent so you can't really blame people for wanting what they're used to. Her particular accent is thick and a little off-putting to some people...

I've been saying this since she was casted, as soon as she was hired for the job (which COULD have been way before it was announced) she was on some training to get bulkier.
