WONDER WOMAN, Queen Hippolyta, & General Antiope Rise Together As One On A Gorgeous New IMAX Poster
With early fan screenings beginning tomorrow, Warner Bros. has debuted a golden new IMAX-exclusive poster for Wonder Woman featuring Gal Gadot, Connie Nielsen, & Robin Wright rising together as one!
According to a recent survey held by Fandango, Wonder Woman is the most anticipated summer movie of 2017, becoming the first female-led film ever to claim the top spot on the site's yearly survey. Spider-Man: Homecoming and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales finished second and third, respectively.
Fandango spoke with the film's Primetime Emmy-nominated director Patty Jenkins at the recent press junket and surprised her with the wonderful news and her response was quite spectacular. "Oh my God! That's amazing! These last few days have been so magical. Listen, who knows what'll happen? I am not sure of anything. People weren't clear whether anybody would want to see a Wonder Woman film and I was always like, 'What? Like, it's Wonder Woman, man. This is such a great character!' But I could feel that [positivity] coming from the world at moments, so to have that mirrored back, to have positivity mirrored back at us at this moment in the way certain people are reacting to the movie and then that from the audience is like... I just can't put into words enough how grateful I am and we are for having believed in this movie and having the world come back at us that way. That's unf***ingbelievable!"
The rest of the top ten consisted of several familiar faces, including The Dark Tower at #4, Dunkirk at #5, Despicable Me 3 at #6, War for the Planet of the Apes at #7, Transformers: The Last Knight at #8, The Mummy at #9, and Baywatch at #10.
With the theatrical release just over a week away, IMAX has debuted their exclusive one-sheet for the movie and it's quite glorious. Check it out below;
Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers...and her true destiny.
