WONDER WOMAN Star Gal Gadot Stuns In New W Magazine Shoot; Says Beyonce Helped With Her BVS Audition
During a new interview with W, Gal Gadot explains how Beyonce helped her when it came time to audition for the role of Wonder Woman. We also have some gorgeous pics from her shoot with the mag.
Gal Gadot will reprise the role of Diana Prince for Patty Jenkins' solo Wonder Woman movie in June, but the 31-year-old actress debuted as the iconic DC character in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, and it seems that initial audition was particularly nerve-wracking.
While being interviewed by W Magazine, Gadot - who only had one other big screen appearance under her belt at the time - explains that she had no idea which character she was actually reading for, and so was extra nervous.
When I auditioned for Batman v Superman, I didn’t know it was for Wonder Woman. The director, Zack Snyder, asked me to do a camera test. That was torture. They were looking at six or seven girls, and we were all in separate trailers and were told to stay inside until they called us. Waiting is my enemy Number One, and I was losing my mind. So, I decided to put on Beyoncé. Who runs the world? Girls! I just started to dance, and I let my anxiety go. Thank you, Beyoncé!
That Beyonce tune clearly had the desired effect, as Gadot landed the role and is set to continue playing Wonder Woman for the foreseeable future.
