THE GIFTED Gets A First Teaser Trailer As Matt Nix's X-MEN Family Drama Is Given A Series Order At FOX

It's just been announced that Marvel and Fox TV's The Gifted has been given a full series order, and to celebrate we have the very first teaser trailer for the upcoming X-Men family drama series.

The teaser begins with a young mutant demonstrating her abilities to (presumably) her brother, before we get some brief flashes of several other characters, including Amy Aker and Stephen Moyer's leads. Plus, I think that might be Emma Dumont's Polaris with her arms above her head, but I'm not certain.

Check it out below, and be sure to let us know what you think in the usual place.

THE GIFTED, from Marvel, tells the story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive. Written by Matt Nix (APB, “Burn Notice”), directed by Bryan Singer (the “X-Men” franchise”) and executive-produced by Nix, Singer, Lauren Shuler Donner (“X-Men: Apocalypse,” “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” “The Wolverine”), Simon Kinberg (“X-Men: Apocalypse,” “X-Men: Days of Future Past”), Jeph Loeb (“Marvel’s Daredevil,” “Marvel’s Jessica Jones”) and Jim Chory (“Marvel’s Daredevil,” “Marvel’s Jessica Jones”), the series stars Stephen Moyer (SHOTS FIRED, “True Blood”) and Amy Acker (“Person of Interest”).

@Brainiac13 - its a teaser iono, looks like it was made in the 90s with all that bad cgi. Both teasers suck, inhumans showed nothing but shitty cosplay costumes and this show just looks cheap. all superhero tv shows look bad except for legion and netflix shows becuz the cast and crew behind it know how to make cheap work.

The font reminds of me of the X-Men logo from Grant Morrison's run. If they try to emulate that, it will be very good.

Cautiously optimistic about this!
Legion was a f*cking blast!

@Doomsday8888 - loved Legion, even though the second to last episode was better than the finale. Wish this show was on FX and was connected

A rehashing of heroes and believe with a few X-men B-characters sprinkled in for good measure.

I assuming the girl waving her hands with the yelloy green energy is Polaris.

I worried that they arent giving Blink her DoFP look (the pointed ears and pink hair). Its quite a simple loo so there is no excuse not to use it on a TV show.

Im glad they seem to be using the portal design from DoFP (like she tears a whole in space).
