We anticipated a head-to-head battle between Logan and Kong: Skull Island this weekend, but as it turns out, it won't be much of a scrap.

Though James Mangold's film had a very impressive start, it's now looking at a 58 percent drop from its $88 million opening weekend - which, while by no means disastrous, won't be able to compete with Kong's $20.2 million Friday, which now puts it on track to meet its $50 million opening weekend estimate.
