Hi Guys. Im pretty much new to this site, only logged on once or twice before. I was so disapointed when I finally saw Wolverine. Jackman and Schreiber were excellent but the movie itself was a big bag of shit. It was so mixed up.....why change so many things that obviously work in the comics? Is it to suit non comicbook fans or is it because the writer wrote himself into a dead end. The scary thing is even tho I didnt really like it I'm willing to give it another chance and buy it

Krypton38- Welcome to the nut house. The thing with these comic movies are this money, merchandise, greed, and let's make a sequel. On rare occasions we get the greatness of Batman Begins, X-2, Watchmen, and Iron Man. Sometimes we get the really good ones like Spiderman 2, Incredible Hulk, and Dark Knight. Most of the times we get abortions like Fantastic Four, Ghost Rider, and Elektra. There needs to be a quality control person from both D.C, and Marvel assigned to every movie to insure that the movie is true to the characters and will please both the non comic, and die hard fans enough to see the movie.

Why the heck isnt Crank 2 at Number 1? I know it had a crap plot but I did not watch it for the plot! I watched it for the pure insanity of Jason Statham and the crazy crap he gets up to in the movie. Oh and Amy Smart, mmmmm

Wolverine should be at 2 (primarily for how good Hugh and Liev were in it as krypton38 said) and Heroes at 3 but everything else on the list doesnt look all that good

[frick]ing Hannah Montana! lol

Yes I did, with the exception that it had a huge shadow over it with Ang Lee's Hulk. Lee's Hulk was a really good movie, but failed to connect on a comic book fan level. Both films had solid acting, but who's going to give an award for acting to any Hulk movie. I'm looking ahead to a sequel and what they will do with Hulk in the Avengers. What did you think of them?

I actually bought both wolverine and Barbie (5 year old daughter) so I contributed to the top two. How cool of me.

I really like both but for different reasons. Lees Hulk had its flaws....poodle fight, flashbacks in a flashback, a bit too much talk...but I thought it was really good. It grows on you. Its main fault was it was such an anti climax. The end really needed a big showdown and not the shit we got... Whereas Incredible Hulk gave us an epic showdown but was missing what Lees hulk had in spades...character developement and heart. although Lees Hulk looked kinda retarded... I like both but wouldnt call either one great. The only truly great CBMs were Superman the movie, Spiderman 2 and The Dark Knight. Oh and Howard The Duck....only joking

I just wrote yesterday that if the two movies would have been combined, we would have gotten one great movie.

krypton- I beat the game already, it's not bad. I liked the first one better, maybe because it seemed longer. Once you unlock Hulk in the game he is a badass.
krypton38
krypton38 - 9/24/2009, 6:07 PM
They really need to start making better Comicbook Games instead of the average titles we get. Arkham Asylum is a start. Even tho I really liked the Xmen legends and Alliance games I want better ones. no more movie tie ins....even tho I know they r gonna b crap I still buy them in the hope that you get a good one
ASSASSIN666
ASSASSIN666 - 9/24/2009, 6:08 PM
I bought Wolverine too just for the fact that he's my favorite superhero ever. I am looking forward to the sequel, God help them if they f**k up the Japan story.
krypton38
krypton38 - 9/24/2009, 6:18 PM
They will tho. FOX will change it somehow and [frick] IT UP.
they''ll pick an X-character and change his origins for no apparent reason...wouldnt be surprised if they had someone completely out of place in a wolverine story like bishop(they think this will please the fans and sell more toys) and have him become part of weapon X OR Logans brother in law!I think they should get a new director too.
ASSASSIN666
ASSASSIN666 - 9/24/2009, 6:26 PM
They are getting a new director, that's for certain. I better not see Bishop in anything besides X-4

Wolverine was a decent movie, it was just a terrible adaptation. I know lots of people that went to see it having never read a comic that really enjoyed it. I did say DECENT now, obviously it was flawed as [frick] from any critical standpoint. But Jackman and Screiber owned those characters and since they pretty much dominated the movie I really enjoyed it..once i turned of mycomic fanboy button!

Leee, you are right, I'm sure the GI Joe dvd will sell millions!

comicboyV1
comicboyV1 - 9/24/2009, 7:48 PM
its good to see a comicbook movie on top. even if it is origins. the biggest issue i have with origins is that they took a great character like deadpool and introduced him to non comic readers in the most retarded way possible. loved ryan in the short time it was him though
