Will X-Men 3 be ready by the summer of next year?

Patrick Stewart (Professor X) told BBC Radio that 20th Century Fox is close contact with him and are still aiming for a July start to filming with an eye to releasing the film in the summer of 2006. Stewart expects a script in hand within a couple of weeks, according to an Ain't It Cool News source.

With Bryan Singer directing Superman V, no replacement has been officially named, although The Crow director Alex Proyas wrote on a chatboard recently that he had absolutely no interest in helming the picture.

Meanwhile, JoBlo.com is reporting that an X3 teaser trailer is being rushed to production to make the Fantastic Four movie debut.
