Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

X-Men: Apocalypse is once again directed by Bryan Singer, and is set to open in theaters on May 27, 2016.

The posters for these X-Men films are always rubbish. But most of the films have been pretty good. The last two especially. We just need to get rid of the black costumes!

@MatTaylorX - They're already being phased out. Fox is embracing the comicbook medium, and getting with the times.

I have to say though, for all the criticisms that people had with Singer's "early 200's" style to X-Men movies, I'm very surprised he managed to make it last this long.

Even in the age of the MCU and films like Avengers, Singer held onto that old style and managed to make it profitable. Still, I think Fox would like one of their movies to enter the Billion-dollar Superhero Club, so I imagine we'll be seeing more of the classic style X-Men from here on out.

I'm a little worried about Alexandra Shipp's (Storm) acting. I remember watching her in this show called House of Anubis (which I loved) and I thought she was terrible. Her acting felt too forced and overreacted. Hope she does better this time around, though

She looks good. Hope they don't do the no hawk for too many movies. But I don't understand what singer is doing when everyone around him are putting them in real comic costumes

Why is everyone stuck on singer giving them comic book costumes if we didn't get them in the past we won't be getting them get over it. People older than 20 years old tripping over costumes. As long it looks better than syfi movie I'm happy.
