Sophie Turner Says She'll Put A "Little Twist" On 'Jean Grey' For X-MEN: APOCALYPSE
The actress has already spoken about her fondness for what Famke Janssen did with Jean in the previous X-Men movies, but last night at the Game Of Thrones season 5 première she hinted at the new direction she'd be taking the younger version of the character.
Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark on HBO's Game Of Thrones) has already spoken a little about landing the role of a younger Jean Grey in Bryan Singer's X-Men: Apocalypse, stating that she was going to be true to Famke Janssen's portrayal of the character as much as possible. She elaborated on this a little at the Game Of Thrones season 5 première last night in London during an interview with Digital Spy, reiterating her love for Jannsen's take, but also promising she'll be putting her own twist on things, with "maybe bit more naivety". She also spoke about being involved in another project with such a loyal, established fanbase, saying she's very excited and hopes to "make them proud." Take a look at the video below.
Turner joins James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult; along with fellow newcomers Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse and Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler. X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters May 27, 2016.
