Kevin Bacon Explains How Emotion Sets X-Men: First Class Apart From Other Comic Book Movies
While chatting it up with MTV along side costar January Jones, Kevin Bacon explains why the emotion level in X-Men: First Class sets it apart from other comic book movie adaptions...
“They are falling in love, and they are having sex, and they’re angry with each other and they’re getting drunk and they’re acting childish and grown up and learning things,"
he said.
"If you take all of the effects out of the movie, you still have the basis for an entertaining and fascinating story.”
“This is the first that I’ve even thought about Bond,” responded the actor.
“But it’s come up quite a bit, actually. You know, I love those movies and I grew up with those movies. They were very, very influential on me as a kid... If something feels kind of Bond-y, it was subconscious.”
X-Men: First Class hits theaters June 3rd.
