When quizzed about her involvement with X-Men: First Class at Bafta LA's event in Beverly Hills last night, the actress refused to either confirm or deny whether or not the reports of her playing Dr Moira MacTaggert in the Matthew Vaughn directed flick are true.

"Well, I feel like I don't want to get in trouble so I'm just not going to say anything!"

However, she did admit to being a fan of the past X-Men movies (who wants to bet she's never watched them?) but that was about all that the inteviewer was able to prise from her.

"Yeah absolutely, but I'll refrain from commenting."

What do you guys think? If Byrne wasnt in the movie, my guess would be that she'd just come right out and say so. However, why would she not want to confirm the role either? Could it be that she's actually going to play another character? Share your thoughts in the usual place!

I seriously don't give two [frick]s about X-MEN FIRST CLASS, worst thing Marvel ever did was sell the rights to them!

Damn we could have had a masterpiece!

This is nothing more than that MAGNETO movie, but [frick]ed up twisted version!

Wheres all the FOX h8rs gone lol?

I'll say one thing though, shes gr8 for that MOIRA role!

LEEE@ actually Carolco Pictures bought the film rights of X-Men from Marvel. Fox bought the rights when Carolco went bankrupt. But i agree with you, they should just call this move X-men: Xavier & Magneto.

I'm not putting money in FOX's pockets to make even more crap... Only one thats looking up is maybe WOLVERINE but I wont hold my breath haha!

Yeah she probably is going to be in the movie. Which sucks cause she's a good actress entering a probably bad movie.

Nicely said LEE! There's no way in hell I'm going to pay to see Fox continue to blatantly disrespect the comic books! In a year with the likes of Captain America and Green Lantern, Fox and X-Men: First Class can [frick] off! :P

megabatfan @ I know its a longgg way off just like SPIDEY, the thing is if people didn't spend money on these movies they would go back to Marvel Studios that much sooner, PUNISHER's already back (thank god lol).

Problem with FOX though is the X-Universe is a huge part of Marvel!

The problem is, the more FOX keeps bringing crap out, the more it hurts the comic book movie, the general public might just get sick of them, lets hope not though!

LEE: While the likes of Marvel Studios and Warner Bros. continue to produce quality movies that outshine the kind of crap that Fox make, I doubt we'll have to worry about that...I hope!!! I hope this movie fails so they'll end up selling the rights back to Marvel or something, lol!

Obviously guys, it's not a question of whether or not she's in the movie, but of what character she'll play.

Duh.

Even then, though, I think it's actually fairly obvious she's playing Moira (hasn't it been confirmed?) and she just hasn't been fully up on what's been officially disclosed or nit,a nd she's just being extra careful.
