Brett Ratner Wants Robert Pattinson For The Youngblood Movie

Ratner is trying his hand at pulling some major teeney star power to get the masses involved in Youngblood!

Ratner had this to say when asked whom he was pursuing to star in Youngblood:

"Definitely Robert Pattinson from 'Twilight,'" He just feels like he belongs in that world. I don't only see him as a vampire, he's a really good actor."

"Pattinson could do anything. He just has that look," states Ratner. "I picture him on Youngblood, for sure."

It's not too hard to figure out whom Robert would play given his leading role resume and what Ratner has stated about Youngblood in the past.

When asked what type of Youngblood movie Ratner is aiming for, he states:

"My vision for it is: We're going to make a very edgy, cool film," explained Ratner. "We're not soft-peddling it at all."

Wow, the Rat wants the Twilight kid to star in his movie. I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that this guy has a cult following and he wants that to draw in more of an audience?

Yeah I agree with you on the Rat and Liefield. I cant judge the kid from twilight too much just from that movie alone. He was alright in Harry Potter.

I have to say... id rather Ratner try his hands on this less than steller comic book vs. some exect thinking that Ratner is in tune with todays generation of comic fans.

I mean honestly....what do we have to lose? lol
For us its a win win situation.

It ties him up for a while in case some monkey think he would be perfect to direct a captain America movie.

second, this movie could make a nice summer filler movie between like Avengers and Dark night 3 movie.

Vonstalin, you make good points and to a degree I think your right, but mediocrity is bad for everyone.

The people making these movies seem like thay are slowly but surely beginning to take this subject matter seriously.

The hear the word "comic" and they think you mean Dick Tracy or Daffy Duck.

I think we are all looking forward to a future in which that attitude is gone and all directors and writers involved take a Nolan esque view of what they are doing. Comic books are a strong cultural force and ANY bad movies that get made with them represent a setback.

Yay! Take a less than inspiring story and characters and make an uninspiring movie about it! Terrific idea! Exclamation points!

Yeah, I don't get it, why make a movie about such a stupid comic? Why not do a cartoon movie on Bone or a Preacher movie or something else that doesn't suck? Also, if this does get made, will the actors have CGI'd legs so they make up 98% of their height? I mean look at those stalks! I don't think Liefield has EVER taken an anatomy class.

Blade trilogy all over again. Pattinson as Shaft will be as manly as Beil was in Trinity. That's how good it will be. Ratner will pull a "X-3/Goyer" on this and it'll end up being a shit film with bad CG and the worst acting ever. Is this the highly anticipated sequel to GI Joe thats already in the works???

I dont mean to change the subject, but the only thing that Image put out that was movie worty in my opinion was Jim Lees Wildcats.Am I the only one who liked that book, all I ever hear about from those days is Youngblood and Spawn. Spawn wasnt bad either but Youngblood has never ever gottn past the suck factor.

Never heard of Youngblood before today. Looks kinda cool. As for the comment about Please no Zac Efron, I disagree. Zac is way more talented than Robert. He just gets a bad rep since he was on Disney Channel, but the thing is he was only in 3 movies. Not a tv show or anything.
