And thanks to a recent Instagram post from star Vin Diesel, we now know that Charlize Theron and Helen Mirren, who made their debut in 2017’s
The Fate of the Furious, will also return to reprise their roles as Cipher and Magdalene Shaw.
There are currently no details on how the two will factor into the plot of
Fast & Furious 9, but after dividing the Toretto family in the previous film, it's hard to imagine that Theron’s Cipher will be anything but a source of trouble for the team.
Fast & Furious 9 is scheduled to race into theaters on May 22, 2020 and will see John Cena join the franchise in a mysterious role.
