It was recently revealed that the ninth instalment of the Fast and Furious franchise has been pushed back to 2020 and the planned Hobbs spinoff starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Jason Statham (who both stole the show in The Fate of the Furious) has taken its release date in 2019. That's exciting but someone who can't handle it is franchise stalwart and Green Lantern wannabe Tyrese Gibson.
Almost as soon as the news was made official, the actor - who seemingly can't get a job outside of the Fast and Furious franchise - took to Instagram for some lengthy rants on Johnson's planned spinoff.
"Congratulations to @TheRock and your brother in law aka 7 bucks producing partner @hhgarcia41 for making the fast and the furious franchise about YOU," he rambled, making it clear he wouldn't delete this post as he did back in September when he last attacked Johnson. "I guess dreams do come true congratulations to @hhgarcia41 and @therock you guys are just amazing you really broke up the #FastFamily I tried to warn you guys. You thought I was hating. I was simply fighting to keep the family together what makes us great is when you see us all TOGETHER we don’t fly solo. I got 3 years of venting on this clown. They offered but YOU didn’t have to agree with a solo #HobbsMovie."
Sounds like jealousy, right? Regardless, the main downside of this news is that it's probably going to further delay Black Adam as The Rock will need to start work on this soon if it's on its way to theaters in 2019. Interestingly, it's also been revealed that Shane Black is among those being eyed to take the helm of this movie. He's obviously best known for Iron Man 3 and is currently shooting The Predator.
