Following The Fate of the Furious, franchise fans were captivated by the relationship between Johnson's Hobbs and Statham's Shaw. The two's vibrant buddy-cop chemistry delivered most of the film's laughs, providing the humor the franchise needed following the tearjerking conclusion of its predecessor. This prompted Universal to greenlight a spinoff, and to be fair, why wouldn't they?
Since the greenlight, a talented group of individuals have boarded the project. Mission: Impossible - Fallout's Vanessa Kirby, Idris Elba, and Deadpool 2 director David Leitch are all among the film's surprisingly talented cast and crew. Though details on the film's plot and influence on the franchise are mostly under wraps, superstar Dwayne Johnson has just debuted the film's first official still. Check it out:
By "disrupting the norm" it is no doubt that this film will be a blast to watch.
