Back in May, it was announced that Danny Boyle (Trainspotting) had signed on to direct the next installment in the popular James Bond franchise, with Daniel Craig set to return to the role of 007.
Unfortunately, the production of Bond 25 has just hit a snag, as Boyle has officially left the project. This announcement came via a tweet from the official James Bond Twitter account and cited creative differences as the reason for the director's departure.
There doesn't appear to be another filmmaker in line to fill the hole left by Boyle, but with production expected to begin in December, a replacement will likely need to be found fairly soon if Bond 25 is to remain on schedule.
Currently, the film is set to hit U.K. theaters on October 25, 2019, before arriving stateside two weeks later on November 8, 2019.
