JAMES BOND 25 Loses Director Danny Boyle Over Creative Differences

Many fans were excited to learn that Danny Boyle had signed on to direct Bond 25, but it's now been announced that the renowned director has left the project over creative differences. More past the jump.

Back in May, it was announced that Danny Boyle (Trainspotting) had signed on to direct the next installment in the popular James Bond franchise, with Daniel Craig set to return to the role of 007.

Unfortunately, the production of Bond 25 has just hit a snag, as Boyle has officially left the project. This announcement came via a tweet from the official James Bond Twitter account and cited creative differences as the reason for the director's departure.

There doesn't appear to be another filmmaker in line to fill the hole left by Boyle, but with production expected to begin in December, a replacement will likely need to be found fairly soon if Bond 25 is to remain on schedule.

Currently, the film is set to hit U.K. theaters on October 25, 2019, before arriving stateside two weeks later on November 8, 2019.

They should get Martin Campbell instead. GoldenEye and Casino Royale are still some of the best bond films.

@Nightwing1015 - Casino Royale may still be my #1 favorite Bond film so I'd be happy to see him back for one more.

Meh, wasn't too hip with him as a director for 007 anyway.

I just read it a moment ago, not the most preferable set back.

I hope it doesn't lay production much.

Wonder if Craig will stay now. I just hope this is good to round out his tenure as Bond. I want a reboot after with Christopher Bolan directing and Henry Cavill starring

@Ha1frican - Yes, it was sometime last fall. He announced that he was coming back for Bond 25 and then this past Spring they confirmed that they were making it and it would be in theaters October 2019 in the UK and November 2019 in the US.

Rumor now is that Christopher McQuarrie will takeover, but that's just a rumor. I doubt that will happen, but who knows.

@MrAmerica - I think Nolan is already working on his next project, plus he seems more interested in starting from ground zero with a new actor, so maybe Bond 26
