The man you send to kill the f**king boogeyman is back for Round 3.

Thanks to a pair of set photos from Academy Award-nominated cinematographer Dan Lausten (The Shape of Water), we've learned that Lionsgate's highly-anticipated John Wick: Chapter 3, which will return Keanu Reeves to arguably his most iconic role to date, has officially commenced production. 

While plot details remain under heavy lock-and-key, we do know that Chad Stahelski is returning to direct with a script from Derek Kolstad, who also penned the first two installments. In addition to Reeves, the cast will also feature Laurence Fishburne (Ant-Man and the Wasp), Ian McShane (Game of Thrones), John Leguizamo (Bloodline), Lance Reddick (White House Down), Common (Suicide Squad), Ruby Rose (The Meg), and Hiroyuki Sanada (Avengers 4).

The action sequel is due out in theaters May 17, 2019.

Its about time. Im really looking forward to this. I hope its as good as the first. I enjoyed the chapter 2. Im really want to see how John rebuilds his life as an assassin. I think this is one of the best franchises out there. It could be as good as Mission Impossible or maybe it doesnt need to. John Wick is going places as a character.

Loved 1 and 2, and cannot wait for more.

ALso kudos to the all involved for continuously making the action breathtaking and being creative with it, but at the same time making it clear what is happening, despite the fast tempo

I really enjoyed the two previous films a lot so I'm pumped. Sure the story is pretty straight forward but the gunplay on these films make up for it. Hopefully they improve on the action. Not saying it's bad but in the second movie the same fight sequences happen in different locations. Still stoked though.

For a guy who's always criticized for his "wooden acting skills" you just can't help but love Keanu. The dude is just super awesome and the John Wick movies have been incredibly fun movies so far. Bring on Chapter 3 and now, Bill & Ted 3 too!!!

I'm looking forward to this. The first two were very well done.

I'm also looking forward to the Continental at Starz. I hope they make each season intermixed stories of the different characters traveling through the Continental. My thought is a 2-3 episode arch per character, but in each of the other arches you see the other characters in the background. So essentially everything is happening at the same time in a matter a few hours or days. I think that would be an amazing way to make this a unique experience in a show.

I absolutely love the John Wick movies, and now this one will have Hiroyuki Sanada!

Can't wait to see him as the leader of the Yakuza! I hope they finally feature his hand to hand martial arts skills.

Usually he has the samurai sword, but he's a very good martial artist as well. Hard to believe that his hand to hand skills haven't been featured since his movies with Sonny Chiba!

I hope they unleash him!
