Margarita Levieva to be the Next Bond Girl

According to the Mirror, the producers of the 23rd James Bond film are aggressively pursuing the Russian born actress. Click the jump to find out more information about this relatively unknown actress.

The 31 year old, has been making a name for herself with minor roles in Lincoln Lawyer, HBO's How to Make It in America, and Ashton Kutcher's lover in 2009's Spread.

Margarita actually has a rather fascinating past. She was born in Russia, and emigrated to America at age 11. She was an award winning, competitive gymnast from the age of 3 to the age of 16. In 2005 she was named one of New York's 50 most beautiful people by New York Magazine.

I have actually seen this stunning actress perform, and she was quite good. She was the sultry actress in Adventureland that made the butter on my popcorn melt. She was hot! I remember watching that movie thinking wow this actress just oozes sex appeal while the main actress in the movie, Kristen Stewart just oozes Bengay.

Now the relatively unknown actress, 31, has caught the eye of producers, who want her to star opposite Daniel Craig in the forthcoming as-yet unnamed 007 movie.

Margarita has been asked about her availability for when filming on the 23rd James Bond begins in three months.

An insider said: “The perfect Bond girl is beautiful, confident but mysterious, and Margarita has all of
those qualities.

The deal will need to be finalised sooner rather than later, because the schedule for production is supposed to get under way in around October this year.”

When all is said and done where will Margarita rank as a Bond girl? Will she be as memorable as Dr. No's Ursula Andress (Honey Ryder), or Goldfinger's Honor Blackman (Pussy Galore)? Guess we'll just have to wait and see when the next 007 film hits theaters.

Bond in Casino Royale is exactly like he is in the original book, the character the older movies had presented to the world especially in the era of Roger Moore was far removed from the effective killer in the books. All the gadgets, Q division and the continuous silly names attached to women he beds every five minutes is exaggerated beyond the source material. Bond in the books has no fancy car with a Swiss army knife of accessories, he has no gadget of the day invented by Q and in fact there is no recurring Q in the books!

Daniel Craig delivered the best Bond film of all time with Casino Royale, they kept the same story and enhanced it enough without making it into a completely different tale like most of the previous films that bare little to zero resemblance to what Ian Fleming wrote! Bond in his early days was a brute force, a "Blunt Instrument that was yet to be perfected, he made mistakes and people died from his mistakes.

Quantum of Solace is a genius of a movie most will never understand unless they actually read the books and that particular short story. The gist of that short story to to illustrate how one traumatic event in your life can change your character forever if you allow it. They used the purpose of that story to present something that literally went over the heads of most audiences and critics who simply never read the books to know Fleming never charted the change in Bond from Casino Royale to Live and Let Die. QoS shows Bond reverting to his 'Blunt Instrument' nature and eventually through events in the movie he learns to confront that direction and make a professional change and far more productive change that sets him on the path to being the Bond of the later books.

Both films are simply excellent espionage thrillers with a character journey rarely appreciated on the big screen. I hope they keep him close to the books and not pander to the public's screwed up idea of Bond from the old films.

Hawt, dawg.

She was *definitely* the only reason to see Adventureland, and she outshone the hell out of Kristen Stewart in that flick (even if her character was a megabitch).
