MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE Crew Members Reportedly Quit After Second Tom Cruise Tirade

Tom Cruise's explosive rant from the set of the latest Mission: Impossible movie made headlines this week, and reports are now coming in that the actor has blown another gasket, resulting in 5 walk-offs.

Earlier this week, audio of Mission: Impossible star Tom Cruise admonishing (yeah, let's go with that) a pair of crew members for breaking COVID-19 safety protocols on the set of the latest instalment in the action franchise went viral, and it sounds like the situation has only worsened since.

According to the Toronto Sun, who first reported on the original incident, there was another outburst on Tuesday after the audio was shared online, and this resulted in five crew members walking off set.

“Tension has been building for months and this was the final straw," said their source. "Since it became public there has been more anger and several staff have walked. But Tom just can’t take any more after all the lengths they have gone to just to keep filming at all. He’s upset others aren’t taking it as seriously as him. In the end, he’s the one who carries the can."

It's not known whether the two individuals who initially felt Cruise's wrath were among the staff members who quit.

Many have come to Cruise's defence and believe he was well within his rights to react so strongly after witnessing restrictions being flouted (George Clooney, for one), while others feel he should have handled things a little more calmly.

Whichever side of the argument you happen to land on, chances are we have not heard the last of this!

@JohnnyTBP - I think we need to know exactly what COVID protocols those crewmembers were breaking before we can say whether Cruise was justified or not. People are just automatically assuming that he was right in saying they were breaking safety measures.

Those crew members after the second tirade

Good on them. They risk their lives also and know the risks and to have an actor, who does not follow the rules when on set, have a rant at them. Hopefully others leave the crew also. It was Tom's choice to film it in the UK during the height of the pandemic, he should have known the risks and stress it would put on himself and the crew.

@mastakilla39 - No, Bale was very wrong. They def both went overboard with their rants. Also, the two situations are completely different, Cruise makes a lot of valid points in his rant about the situation we are currently in. He gets angry for the health and safety for his crew members. If the movie halts production bc of COVID due to the stupidity of even one or two crew member, its the rest of crew that gets fcuked not Tom Cruise. He still gets paid. Still could've handled it better. Bale's rant was just childish. Even he himself admitted and apologized.

All these people saying 'hes not wrong' or 'he could have handled it differently. Do none of you notice the contradiction that he is not wearing a mask? He is going on set running around, interacting with other actors, no precautions or anything and then he rants at them for standing near each other?

A reminder that the rules are contradictory bullsh*t and the crew members are exempt under current UK restrictions. Maybe now they have quit it'll get Tom Cruise to realize, but chances are he's paranoid. He got pulled into Scientology, I'm sure he believes all the fear mongering the media does to get people to follow the rules.

@Scarilian - Dude, I mean obviously the situations are different for the actors when they are filming a scene compared to crew members. If you wanna see this new Mission Impossible with Ethan Hunt wearing a facemask in the movie for all his scenes then good on you, I guess.

@aurorsand146 - you assume he is being truthful about having everyone’s best health interests at heart. A lot of reporting today that this is classic Cruise control tactics that the public never gets to see under any circumstances.

@SauronthePower - This guy isn't just the lead actor for that movie, he is also the producer. Any cast or crew's member life is jeopardized, he gets the blame. So I'm going out on a limb and say he really has everyone's best health interest at heart bc nobody likes to get sued. Like I said before, its still a rant and should've been handled differently but he didn't say anything in that rant that was wrong.

None of these people mean anything to him unless they pay up and join Scientology. Why does Tom still have a voice in Hollywood when so much negativity is connected to him?
