"Sucker Punch" is an epic action fantasy that follows a young girl through her vivid imagination to provide an escape from her dark reality. Unrestrained by the boundaries of time and place, she is free to go where her mind takes her, blurring the lines between what's reality and what is imaginary.

Today on March 25, Sucker Punch is being opened in theaters. However despite being enthusiastically anticipated by viewers thanks to its well-made promotion units, after its opening this Zack Snyder's latest flick has apparently failed to please critics.

Here is the summary of the early reviews taken from the site Rotten Tomatoes:

Sucker Punch (2011):

Rated 29% Fresh -- It's technically impressive and loaded with eye-catching images, but without characters or a plot to support them, all of Sucker Punch's visual thrills are for naught.

Featuring Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish, Jamie Chung, Vanessa Hudgens, Jena Malone, Oscar Isaac, Carla Cugino, and Jon Hamm in its line of cast, Sucker Punch has met with overall negative reviews from critics, but what do you think?

i heard that WB made Snyder cut some of his footage to garner a PG-13 rating.
Snyder is currently working on the Director's Cut which will probably be R and much better than what the critics are saying.
that being said, i am still seeing it in IMAX on Saturday.

Well, I don't think those reviews are going to stop people from seeing the movie.Look at Transformers 2.Bashed by damn near every critic and nearly everyone who saw it opening weekend, but it still made over $800 million.

"The English Patient", a movie so boring I fell asleep both times I tried to watch it, won an oscar for best picture. Don't really care what the critics say. Hotties fighting dragons, evil giant samurai and robots has got to be better than that! F@ck, the trailer was better than a lot of critic's choice movies...

ey guys,

sucker punch is easily one of the best movies ever made. i have no idea why reviewers like films like the english patient which is probably so boring and not like films like these which make me so excited. the only thing i dint like about sucker punch was the main nazi zombie scene that featured all the girls. i really hate the camera on the shoulder and camera shaking everywhere and camera focused too close in so you cant appreciate the choreography. but easily one of the best movies in the history of moviemaking. i love everything that zack does lol. aaargh to tell the truth i thought this would be THE best film in the world just because the reviews seem to lean forward to much more action but i didnt get as much as i wanted lol.

when has ever the RT critics come relevant in their reviews??? They gave Inception an 87% while they gave movies like Social Network, Kings Speech, 127 Hours, and True Grit over 90 ratings?... They're clearly not Sci-Fi fans, that's a fact.
