Based on "The Hilly Earth Society" written by Louis Kornfeld and produced by Jonathan Mitchell for The Truth Podcast, The Infernal Machine is a new thriller from Paramount Movies that arrives in select theaters and on Digital on September 23, 2022.

Starring Guy Pearce (Iron Man 3), Alice Eve (Star Trek Into Darkness), Jeremy Davies (The Black Phone), and Alex Pettyfer (Magic Mike), the movie promises to be a real edge-of-your-seat thrill ride.

Described as a psychological thriller of obsession and deceit, The Infernal Machine follows Bruce Cogburn (Pearce), a reclusive and controversial author of the famed book The Infernal Machine who is drawn out of hiding when he begins to receive endless letters from an obsessive fan.

What ensues is a dangerous labyrinth as Bruce searches for the person behind the cryptic messages...forcing him to confront his past and ultimately revealing the truth behind The Infernal Machine. So, think of it as being a mixture of Memento, Misery, and Zodiac!

Today, we have an exclusive clip from The Infernal Machine for you featuring an intense exchange between Pearce and Pettyfer's characters. There's a lot going on here as Bruce attempts to get to the bottom of what's going on and things soon take a dark turn. Pettyfer, in particular, is terrifyingly unhinged and a far cry from what we saw in Magic Mike, for example.

We've watched the movie and trust us when we say it's a definite must-see. While many of you will know Pearce best from big-budget blockbusters like Iron Man 3 and Prometheus, this is a very different performance from the actor and one that serves as a welcome reminder of why he remains one of the best actors working today.

Check out this exclusive The Infernal Machine clip below along with the movie's trailer. As noted, the movie arrives in select theaters and on Digital on September 23, 2022.

@imnotwearinghockeypants - Definitely by this site if the only references they can come up with are IM3 (which I liked) and Prometheus

If you don't know Guy Pearce from Memento, see Memento

@JohnMagee - He was excellent in Momento but I hated the movie. I felt it was an incoherent mess that just didn’t work as well as people think it did. I’ve tried a rewatch recently, and even knowing how things play out it feels like a disjointed mess to me.
