If Justice League and Family Guy had a baby, it would undoubtedly be The Fleischerverse, a series of online comic strips and forthcoming comic books, which has now been turned into an animated short.
In it, lead character Fleischer (think of him as an oblivious Superman) teams up with the distraught Atomic Mouse, a Golden Age character in the Public Domain. It seems that Captain Battle is wiping out other super powered animals, which has sunk Atomic Mouse into a deep depression. Fleischer arrives and decides to lend a "helping" hand, which could be the very thing that pushes his rodent friend over the edge.
This short you're about to watch is an extended strip which has had "motion" added to each panel along with dialogue recorded by voice over actors Brandon McCaskil as Fleischer and Greg Gidney as Atomic Mouse. Animation is provided by Mouse-In Studio, the original artwork was done by Fernando Sosa and the script was written by Leon McKenzie and Ed Gross. The character of Atomic Mouse was created by Al Fago, and is just one of many comic book characters from the Golden Age that was allowed to slip into the public domain, hence the ability to include him here.
