As of right now, there's no end in sight for The Simpsons and while many people seem to agree that the show isn't quite as good as it once was, it remains an entertaining enough twenty minutes each week. During Comic-Con this weekend, Fox was hyping what will be the 30th season of the long-running animated series but one fan couldn't help but wonder how it could end somewhere down the line.
It's never easy to conclude a beloved TV show but showrunner Al Jean pitched a perfect idea which would essentially mean The Simpsons never ends and lives on forever. "I thought the final episode could end with them going to the Christmas pageant they went to in the first episode, so the whole series is one loop without a beginning or an end," he said. "But now that I’ve said it, it won’t happen. Thank you." That's kind of a shame, especially as it would be such a cool way to wrap things up.
With Disney buying Fox, it's highly unlikely that The Simpsons will be going anywhere, especially as they could incorporate the family into their theme parks. How would you like the show to end? Do you think this idea would work? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
