ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: Did Evangeline Lilly Reveal A Huge [SPOILER] About The Marvel Film's Villain?
Until now, it seemed pretty straightforward that Ghost would be the villain of Ant-Man of the Wasp, but following a recent social media post from Evangeline Lilly, it seems things may be more complicated.
We're a month away from the release of Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and the Wasp, and so far the marketing for the film has done a good at not revealing any significant plot points. However, it seems The Wasp actress, Evangeline Lilly, may have dropped a big spoiler in regard to the movie's villain, a role we believed was only filled by Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen).
On the caption of her post, the Marvel star discussed Net Neutrality and compared Congress to a few Marvel villains. One was Thanos, who we are all familiar, but the other was Lawrence Fishburne's "Goliath."
It’s possible Lilly wasn’t making a Marvel reference, and was referencing David and Goliath, but many fans believe this was a slip-up on the actress' part and that Bill Foster will be the actual big bad of Ant-Man and the Wasp, as part of a shocking twist.
Of course, this shouldn’t be taken as absolute confirmation, but there has been some speculation in the past that Fishburne’s character would at least have a strong connection to the film’s villain, and this wouldn't be the first time a Marvel star accidently dropped a spoiler.
Ant-Man and the Wasp flies into theaters on July 6, 2018.
