POLL: Who Would You Like To See Behind The Mask In Edgar Wright's ANT-MAN?

Hank Pym was a founding Avenger and the first hero to hold the mantle of Ant-Man before moving on to other personas such as Giant-Man and Yellowjacket. Scott Lang stole the uniform to save his daughter and became an Avenger before dying during the events of Avengers: Disassembled (he recently returned in (Avengers: The Children's Crusade). Eric O'Grady was an Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. who also stole the Ant-Man costume and used it to stalk women and steal; however, he later became a hero and member of the Secret Avengers. All three of the characters have interesting stories, but which would you most like to see in Edgar Wright's Ant-Man?

@Nubase - You are correct. They should hire Tom Hardy and save millions in special effects.

that's actually a pretty good point Millanstar... though i imagine Marvel would keep it classic Pym though

ON THE OTHER HAND... can any THOR fans let me know if there was any furor or nerd-lash over dropping the Donald Blake angle (short of a cutesy easter egg)?

Pym obviously should be in the film, but can anyone explain to me how his story could possibly be interesting? I've looked up Irredeemable Ant Man and I find that waaaay more interesting than anything i know of Pym's adventures. Yes he is important for what he creates, but that doesn't' make him an interesting character.

Hank is really the only good choice for the first film at least. I mean how do you have Pym Particles without Hank Pym and having him could mean Ultron in the future.

"Hank Pym. Chris Brown can play him."

I agree and let's make Rihanna Wasp. They'll have loads of on screen chemistry together!

could be Benny from Item 47... SHIELD Agent known to be a thief. He could find out about the suit and steal it with Claire. That could be the 'heist' that was discussed. Plus if the Benny guy read for the role of Cap it shows that Marvel has big interest in him.

They stated weeks ago that the story would involve hank pym in the 60's with scott lang taking over in present day. The way they could make it work so we can still get ultron is Lang finding the blue prints for ultron at the end of the movie and continuing what Pym started by studying his notes and research.

Dreamed up an Antman movie when i dozed. Might not even be a villian im the film. It deal with a 38-42 year old Hank frustration with being ultimately denied in the Avengers Initiative. Attempting to create Giant Man because AntMan was deemed "useless" by SHIELD. Frustration on the lack of funding for his Ultron project that Fury denied because of the ethics involved with mapping "Pym" mind onto a machine. Frustration of his lack of prestige in the science community. Frustration that Jane (wife/gf) was accepted into The Avengers but denied it becuase Hank wasn't.

LOL There is a lot of frustration in the film that won't all neccesarily be solved by the end of the film. The film would channel TIH vibe of story before action and there might not even be a supervillian in the traditional sense.

I like O'Grady's stories the best. He is honestly one of the few new characters in the Marvel Universe that I actually like. The only reason people even care about Pym is because he made Ultron.

i voted for T'Challa..

oh wait.. i can't [frick]ing vote for [frick]ing T'challa because [frick]ing Marvel is making a god damn [frick]ing ant-man movie. ANT MAN!!! ANT!!!! the awesome news of the GOTG movie was offset by the fact they are making a movie about a man and some ANTS!!! and not the bad (period) ass (period) BLACK PANTHER. wtf Marvel!?!?!? No Black Panther? No Doctor Strange? hell even a solo Hulk movie with the leader would be better than ANT man. i'm calling it right now, Marvel's first flop will be: ANT-MAN.

who's the villain going to be? Baron Bug Spray? Professor Magnifying Glass? Sargent Swatter? THE BOOT???? oh no it'll probably be someone worse..it'll probably be Whirlwind.. face meet palm.

Has to be Hank Pym even though I like Scott Lang's back story. On another note that Ant-Man costume in the second pic would look amazing on screen!

I'd like Hank Pym because of the scientist background and possible story arcs for villans, but I'd like the Eric O'Grady costume more than Pym's; it just looks cooler IMO.

ALSO, the story Wright said he wanted to do, "To Steal an Ant-Man"... is Marvel Premiere Vol 1 #47

Am I wrong? Isn't this a little too coincidental?
