I only really like Simon Pegg when he's in a purely comedic role.
But anything that requires even a small amount of seriousness I just can't buy him.
I think he's a very one-dimensional actor.

Although I love Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, he just can't really play the depth that a character like Pym has.

When I saw him in Watchmen I thought he could pull off being and Antman. He was also entertaining on A Team too but nah to Bradley Cooper, it's something weird about his nose, I'm just waiting for Family Guy to do a skit about.

I think it's funny how much some fanboys will jump to such conclusions based on a picture. All the tweet says is Fun at Marvel. It's like that "stung by a wasp" crap the other day. HE didn't start the rumor. WE did. He just took a picture.

And agreed on Patrick Wilson. He would be a great Antman.

Pym is such an awesome character because he portrays so many genuine human character flaws. He invents a truly practical technology in being able to shrink himself but then gets self conscious when he compares himself to the other Avengers. He's a character with an identity crisis and that's effing brilliant if you ask me.

I just watched Hot Fuzz again last night. Simon Pegg is hilarious and if him and RDJ ever got together it would be a laughfest. Of course nothing would ever get done on set haha.

i'd love it if the ant-man role was an extension of the "ULTIMATES" storyline for Pym.

the whole wife-beating, research-faking-by-stealing-wife's-mutant-ability @$$h0l3 is much more believable than the molecular-biologist-turned-superhero-turned-cybernetics-wunderkind-inventor-of-ultron @$$h0l3.
