Gold Coast Bulletin reports that the Curry Lighthouse is currently being built at Hastings Point in Australia. Director James Wan will reportedly spend three days at the popular whale-watching spot and Temuera Morrison (Tom Curry) has been confirmed as attending the shoot. It's unknown who else will be there but chances are we could see scenes shot which take place in both the past and present.
It's still early days as Aquaman will be at this location for eight weeks due to the elaborate set construction taking place but the holiday park will only be closed to the public for a few days next month while shooting takes place. That decreases the likelihood of set photos but we will likely see the finished set at some point. Its presence in the movie points to Wan sticking to the comic books here.
In those, the Curry Lighthouse was located just off the coast of northern Maine is a small town called Amnesty Bay. Aquaman's mother Atlanna, whom Tom Curry found floating on a raft, was nursed back to health by him and the two eventually fell in love, giving birth to their son Arthur Curry.
