Despite the fact that fans are hoping Aquaman will serve as a turning point for the DC Films Universe, there's been a lot of negativity surrounding the movie as of late. For example, we've heard that test screenings haven't gone particularly well and with Warner Bros. deciding to promote Shazam before the subaquatic movie's release this December, many are worrying that they've already given up on it.
With still no sign of a trailer despite the fact that WonderCon is taking place right now, director James Wan has felt compelled to head to social media to clear things up and debunk some recent rumours.
As you can see below, Warner Bros. was never planning on releasing a trailer this weekend and while you might be wondering why it's still not with us, it all boils down to the fact that it's simply not ready (due to Aquaman being a CGI heavy movie). You can appreciate why Wan and the studio wouldn't want to debut the teaser with mediocre special effects as many would no doubt jump on the chance to find fault with yet another DC Comics adaptation following Justice League's release last November.
Check out Wan's remarks in full below and then let us know your thoughts in the usual place.
