The end credits sequence from Aquaman has now been officially released via Filmograph, the production studio responsible for bringing the stunning visuals to the screen.

As the credits roll by, we're taken from Tom Curry's lighthouse to the depths of Atlantis, as various locations and set-pieces from James Wan's underwater adventure are spotlighted. We also see some of the creative creature designs and cool statue-like interpretations of characters such as Mera (Amber Heard), Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen) and Ocean Master (Patrick Wilson).

As for the music? Well, let's just say the song fits the movie perfectly!

From Filmograph's website:

"From the bright, bioluminescent colors of Atlantis to the high contrast lava-like palette of the Brine Kingdom, we have the chance to see and feel the rich, vibrant textures of the world our characters inhabit. Distinctly integrated cartographic vernacular and a range of complementary, compass-based designs were incorporated into the sequence in an effort to emphasize the documented past of the kingdoms; these, combined with meticulously-crafted frozen action moments – as if suspended underwater – allowed us to craft this uniquely engaging cinematic experience."

I FINALLY saw Aquaman last night

I won’t lie, I loved it. It wasn’t my favorite comic book film of last year but I can’t lie & say I didn’t enjoy it. Yes it has issues (about 10 times a conversation is interrupted by an explosion & that Pitbull song & more) but there’s Aquaman riding a seahorse & an octopus playing the drums & Temuera Morrison. It felt like the first times DC film not trying to use a style. Like GL tried to be Iron Man, MOS & BVS tried to be TDKT, JL tried to be Avengers. Aquaman is so balls to the world that it feels like the first unique DC film since The Dark Knight

Plus Patrick Wilson is so [frick]ing campy in the film I Goddamn love it. It reminds me of Shannon’s Zod & Dafoe’s Goblin performance wise

Also I just loved the directing in the film. The transition from flashbacks to present day were so well shot & fluid IMO. My favorite scenes was the Trench scene. Felt like a horror film

Overall I just loved it lol. I think Wonder Woman is a better DCEU film but I think I loved Aquaman more

@LEVITIKUZ - The Trench scene is one of my favourite scenes from a CBM from last year. That was the high for me watching the film. Best damn bit of the entire movie.

It just annoys me how many issues I have with the script but it was still quite enjoyable.

@LEVITIKUZ - the movie has a TON OF ISSUES but its such a goddamn good ride nevertheless.

Wilson is up there with Dafoe for me. Campy goodness.

THIS SHOT IS A GIFT FROM GOD HIMSELF lol

@DnA - The Trench scene was breath taking to say the least. In fact I wanted more Trench after seeing that part.

@DnA - I think that it comes down to directing

I remember watching Tomb Raider a few weeks ago & I somewhat enjoyed it but I’d also rewrite the entire script. Aquaman has a lot of similarities (long last parent thought to be dead isn’t dead) but with Aquaman we have James Wan

With Tomb Raider, while Alicia gives a great performance there are many action scenes with a lot of cuts in them. Meanwhile Wan had so many long shots in his fight scenes

Wan’s directing evaluates a script that with a lesser director I’d probably notice the flaws more

@BlackBeltJones - He had so many campy lines that I couldn’t help but love

“RISE ATLANTIS”
“CALL ME OCEAN MASTER”
“JOIN ME OR DIE”
And how he kept calling Arthur a ‘half breed bastard’
GhostDog
GhostDog - 1/14/2019, 8:45 AM
@LEVITIKUZ - every time he said ‘half breed bastard’

@Battabing -

I loved Aquaman rolling in with the ocean at his back like Aragorn with the army of the dead at the battle of Minas Tirith.

@DnA @BlackBeltJones - I know it’s an intro & not a credits but your lists both need Sam Raimi Spider-Man 2 for having Alex Ross artwork retell the first film
GhostDog
GhostDog - 1/14/2019, 8:48 AM
@LEVITIKUZ - Its not an end credits so that's why I didnt add it.

But man did those intros stick with me. I actually wish we got more stuff like that. As a kid, it made me discover Ross and his art.
Kumkani
Kumkani - 1/14/2019, 8:50 AM
@LEVITIKUZ - You made me realise I kinda miss intros. The Incredible Hulk seems to be the last mainstream CBM to have such an elaborate one.

Also yes, that intro is legendary.

@DnA - I think Watchmen might have been the most recent one, but Deadpool 2 might have also had one if I remember correctly
