How Phase 3 Answered Some AGE OF ULTRON Questions

Today's Phase 3 announcement seems to have cleared up some questions we have had with Avengers 2. After the jump find out what they are...

So after today's exciting news on the Phase 3 film, I got to thinking how Marvel kind of answered some of our questions we had regarding Age of Ultron and some of the overarching storylines of Phase 3. This is what I believe could happen and could be considered spoilers so read at your own risk...

1) Thor will die in Age of Ultron: With the announcement of Thor: Ragnarok, it seems to be a likely choice that it will be Thor that will die in AOU. Not only will it be more of a powerful and emotional toll on the Avengers, to have him die at the hands of Ultron, will make it seem that Ultron is unstoppable. Also, as a post credit scene for AOU, Thor could wake up in Hel and see Odin there and realize what Loki has done.

2) Andy Serkis is definitely playing Ulysses Klaw: Having Black Panther announced today, pretty much confirms that he will be playing this character. With possibly scenes taking place in Wakanda, it only seems right. Also, it would have been silly for Marvel to say that Serkis was going to be playing Klaw early on, because that would have most likely shown their hand that Black Panther was coming sooner than later.

3) Bruce Banner creates Vision, not Ultron: In a recent interview with Mark Ruffalo, he calls Vision "his my baby", which kind of confirms that he will create Vision. I think its a great dynamic to have Stark create evil in the form of Ultron and to have the other science buddy create good in Vision. Definitely will create tension between the two friends.

4) Scarlett Witch will get inside all of the Avengers' heads: In the clip seen today at the press event, Stark and Rogers talk about that "that Maximoff twin got to see things". I'm guessing she makes them see the good (Cap's vision with Peggy Carter seen quickly in the trailer), and the bad (Hulk sees himself killing Black Widow or fighting an unseen enemy, which makes him go insane and that where the Hulkbuster scene comes in).

5) Scarlett Witch and Quicksilver are Inhumans: This is a little bit of a stretch but remember in the post credit scene of CWS, where they reference that the twins were the only test subjects to survive? What if the MCU version of the Terrigan Mists come from Loki's Staff.

6) Thor 3 will lead to Infinity Gauntlet getting in the hands of Thanos: Today, Kevin Feige stated that Thor 3, will be like the CWS of Phase 3, where everything changes because of it. I believe that Thanos will somehow get his hands on the gauntlet and the film could include the Time Gem.

If there is any other ideas that I missed that you would like to see comment below...Thanks for the read

why do you believe thor 3 will include the time gem? also it seems agents of shield is also building up to the inhumans.

I think that it will include the Time Gem, because at the end Thor will try to fix what has happened but Thanos will defeat him and take the Time Gem along with the Infinity Gauntlet

"Thor will die in Age of Ultron"

Man, I am so sick of fans insisting on someone dying in-

"a post credit scene for AOU, Thor could wake up in Hel and see Odin there and realize what Loki has done."

...hm, that's pretty good actually.

"Scarlett Witch will get inside all of the Avengers' heads"

I definitely agree with this. I've been saying the broken shield is part of this since comic con.

Loki's scepter in my opinion is the mind gem. Selvig and Hawkeye both mention effects to their mind.

I think Hydra has actually found or was given a sample of the Terrigen Mist.

@GliderMan Hel is the realm of the dead (like all dead, at least temporarily), Niffleheim (spelling) is the realm of the dishonoured dead, and Valhalla is the realm of the honoured dead. So Hel is probably the initial place Thor will go. IF he dies.

@HulkSmash89 Mark Ruffalo talked about how the only thing that Hulk is afraid of is Bruce Banner so I think that Bruce will be in Hulk form when Scarlet Witch gets in his mind and she will reveal that fear inside him.
@DatNerdyKid Hel is where normal people go to. People don't go to Hel and then move on to somewhere else, they go directly to where they belong.

I REALLY like your theory of Ultron kikling Thor and then showing him wake up in Hel and seeing Odin, thus learning that not everything in Asgard is as it seems. Maybe thats even the scene in the trailer of Thor popping up out of the water with no hammer and armor!

Good thinking. I like it.

Also, coukd you imagine the impact it would have on the Avengers when they see one of their most powerful members buy the farm and go tits up? It would be demoralizing as hell.

I've been against them killing any members in this movie since the beginning, but this changes my mind. This would actually have meaning as Thor is the one Avenger they could easily revive while still being meaningful and important.....as long as he meets Odin in the afterlife and they plan to take back Asgard afterward.
