Kevin Feige On THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Script And BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN

Does Marvel feel pressure from Batman Vs. Superman? Kevin Feige answers that and discusses The Avengers sequel's script, declaring it's like a culmination of the other Phase 2 films, yet standalone.

The latest chat with Kevin Feige has the Marvel Studios president of production discuss the script for Joss Whedon's The Avengers: Age of Ultron and what to expect. "It's still early days, but I will say that like the first Avengers, [the sequel] is the culmination of the films before it while at the same time being structured in a way that it could stand on its own," Feige told Fandango during an interview. "That's one of the big challenges with all our films. And the script that's coming together for Age of Ultron is absolutely influenced by all the movies post-Avengers that lead up to it, but at the same time structurally it'll be able to stand on its own. It's exciting to see exactly how different the world of the Avengers is at the beginning of Avengers 2 than it was at the end of The Avengers, in large part because of the stories in between."

A few months after The Avengers reassemble in 2015, Batman and Superman will unite on-screen in Warner Bros. and Zack Snyder's sequel to Man of Steel. When Kevin Feige was asked if Marvel feels pressure from the DC Comics film, tentatively titled Batman Vs. Superman, he says, "Ya know, I think there's something like seven weeks between them, which in moviegoing is really a lifetime. So I don't think it's really a [Marvel-DC] showdown of any kind." When pressed for thoughts on the team-up flick, Feige would only say: "I'm excited to see it." What do you think?

So far starring Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Cobie Smulders, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson and James Spader, with Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen in negotiations to join, The Avengers: Age of Ultron is directed by Joss Whedon from his screenplay, and is slated to begin production in March 2014 and release on May 1, 2015.

"So I don't think it's really a showdown of any kind,"

Too bad moronic fanboys will continue to think otherwise.

I love Feige and his attitude.

Who gives a flying [frick] about the two films and the way they compete? Stop measuring dicks.

He must know what he has. I mean, Whedon is Whedon. I'd murder to have him work on Superman.

He's said it before... Bad comic book movies bring the rest down. Good ones bring the rest up. Marvel, Fox, and WB should all want the others' movies to succeed.

"The only assholes who want to flame are DC trolls.. they basically have nothing to hang their hats on for 2014.. otherwise known as The Year of The Raccoon.

Do you see how Ironic that comment is? Do I need to even explain how contradicting that statement was? How's Thor the Dark World coming? I hear not as great as it should be. 112 minutes, the Director doesn't like the final cut, Malekith was forgettable, and apparently Loki carries this movie...again. -__-

Don't stoop to his level. He doesn't realize what a bad name he gives not only Marvel fans, but comic fans in general. Exactly the kind of person he claims to dislike.

More than that, his comments on the Colorado theater shooting for DKR proves he's just a sad teen trying to get attention by acting like an ass behind his computer.

Intruder is a [frick]ing asshole if he made any comment disrespecting the lives that was lost that day.

He has the most strange fetish over characters that don't exist.

Cap 2 will own 2014 but Days of Future Past will give em a run for its money. 2015 goes to Age of Ultron for me then Ant-Man. I'm not trying to hate on DC but, outside of Ben Affleck, I've got nothing to be excited about with Batman/Superman cause Man of Steel didn't leave me excited and want more. The action, very few acting moments and the last line of the film "Welcome to the planet" saved the movie enough to make it enjoyable.

Can't wait for tomorrow, The Winter Soldier trailer debut!! :)
