In the video above, Paul Bettany (who will star as ‘The Vision’ in Avengers: Age of Ultron) talked with Digital Spy about how his deal was “impossible to beat,” when he play the voice for JARVIS in the Iron Man trilogy. “When I was JARVIS I would turn up right at the end, I would work for two hours and they'd give me a big back of cash. It seemed impossible to beat." He then tells how that “impossible to beat” deal changed once he become something more than a voice. "Now they want me to work for my money! It was great to finally be on set with these people you've been working with for 10 years but never actually met."
Bettany is now The Vision in the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This means that he’ll actually have to earn his money in the many films he may appear in (as said above). But before we start going into the future, we have to focus on the film we’ll first see him in, and that’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. In that film, Bettany’s character will square off against Ultron and his evil robot army. In the interview above, he explains how he felt during the scenes he filmed with James Spader. "It was sort of this father-son scene between this purple android [and Ultron]. James was in a fractal suit which had headlights and cameras filming his face as he moved.” He then continues and says again how their scenes where like “father and son” moments. "All of it fell away and you're just left with an actor's eyes. He's really compelling - it just became a father-son moment." A lot of people have already laid eyes on what The Vision will do in the Avengers sequel, but everyone else with have to wait for May 1 to see him and all his glory.
