It's no great surprise that Avengers: Endgame will boast a mammoth running time, especially as it's the culmination of over a decade's worth of storytelling. However, three hours is an awfully long time to sit in the theater watching a blockbuster and there have been rumblings that it could end up featuring an intermission (a break around the halfway point).
After confirming that they're still working on the movie, Joe said that they "joke about [an intermission] in the edit room." In other words, those rumours may have been little more than that.
"We've screened the movie four times for audiences now," Anthony added. "For the first three screenings, not a single person got up to go to the bathroom."
"We took that as a good sign," Joe concluded with a laugh.
Let's face it, if you were getting to see Avengers: Endgame early, you probably wouldn't want to get up and leave the room either! Depending on how good a movie is, three hours either feels like a lifetime or passes by in a flash. Given the track record of the Russo Brothers, though, chances are this one will fall into the latter category.
