AVENGERS: ENDGAME Funko POP! 2-Pack Hints At The Rematch We Were All Hoping To See

While LEGO sets are not always the most reliable indicators of what we're actually going to see in the movies they're based on, Funko POP! 2-packs generally are. With that in mind, possible spoilers ahead.

After suffering a humiliating loss to Thanos at the beginning of Infinity War, most of us assumed The Hulk would get another shot at The Mad Titan in Avengers: Endgame, and now it looks like we have confirmation that the two powerhouses will indeed throw-down again.

Funko POP! 2-packs generally only combine characters that share significant scenes together in the movie upon which the toys are based, so it's reasonable to assume from this latest leak that Hulk and Thanos will be crossing paths again in Endgame.

Granted, the toy packaging doesn't specify that they'll come to blows, but something tells us they won't be sitting down to work out their differences in a calm and friendly manner.

In addition, we have a new Endgame synopsis from Marvel - although it's pretty vague and nowhere near as revealing as the one that was released with the recent trailer.

"The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios' grand conclusion to twenty-two films, "Avengers: Endgame."

Tell us, what do you hope to see from Hulk vs. Thanos round 2? Will The Green Goliath have an advantage now that he's bringing brains as well as brawn to the table? Drop us a comment down below, and check out our breakdown of the latest trailer.

"Seems Like A Thousand Years Ago..."

This trailer was always going to trade heavily on nostalgia, and it opens with some flashbacks to the pre-Avengers lives of Tony Stark, Steve Rogers and Thor, while the narration keeps us up to speed with current events as the heroes deal with the fallout of "The Decimation."

This is a great way to put across what a huge milestone this movie is while also managing to avoid giving too much away.

Kate Bishop?

Vssxyclv o

One of the apparent flashbacks is new, however, as we see Clint Barton giving a mysterious young woman an archery lesson.

There's a lot of speculation that Kate Bishop (who Hawkeye mentors in the comics) might be introduced in Endgame, and there's a chance this is her - although it may also be Barton's eldest daughter.

Either way, it's suggested that whatever happens to her - not to mention the rest of his family - drives him to Japan under the mantle of Ronin.

Not Us

Lkmtiix4 o

We get glimpses of some of the heroes that ceased to exist after The Snap, as the surviving Avengers (love the hair, 'Tasha) struggle to come to terms with losing their friends - not to mention half of all life in the universe.

It's clear that Cap, Widow, Thor and co. have no intention of moving on, as we see a visibly shaken Scott Lang attamept to piece together what happened. It's suggested in the previous teaser that he will eventually give the others the hope they've been searching for.

Rocket And War Machine

Tufrn3gd o

Yes, this one brief shot of Rocket Raccoon on War Machine's shoulder deserves its own special mention.

Really, it's not too surprising that the weapon-obsessed Guardians of the Galaxy would gravitate towards the Avenger with the biggest guns. These guys definitely have the potential to be a very entertaining double-act, but the Thor/Rabbit tandem is going to take some beating.

Whatever It Takes

Hgx72plv o

A sentiment repeated several times in the trailer; it's very clear that the surviving heroes are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice if it means reversing the catastrophic effects of the Infinity Stones.

Of course, we already know they're going to be successful (unless all of those upcoming Marvel sequels are actually prequels), but there's a very good chance not all of them will live long enough to see their dusted pals again.

Final Battle

Dweltzz0 o

There are a few shots towards the end of the trailer that might just hint at the setting for The Avengers' final showdown with Thanos.

We see a worse-for-wear Cap seemingly preparing for his last stand, Nebula roaring into battle, and Ant-Man... using a pencil as a springboard?

It's not completely clear what's going on there, but it does look like these guys are fighting in some kind of post-apocalyptic setting. Is there a chance they might even be back on Titan?

Gear Up

Zxlgckw1 o

The last couple of shots give us a great look at the team sporting those "Advanced Tech" suits we've seen so much of in the various promo material.

It seems clear that these outfits are designed (by Lang and Stark, most likely) to allow our heroes to travel either through time, or in The Quantum Realm, or both.

Although they don't share the screen here, this also marks the first time we've seen Iron Man and Captain America together in the same room since Civil War.

"I Like This One"

Xf8olfva o

You didn't think the trailer would end without giving us a glimpse of Captain Marvel, did ya?

After the logo - and we're loving the added drums on the theme, by the way - we see Thor approach Carol and guide Stormbreaker into his hand. Danvers doesn't look too impressed, and The God of Thunder likes that.

This is a nice moment of levity after a rather downbeat trailer.

We're In The Endgame Now...

We really are! Avengers: Endgame will be with us in a little over a month. Tell us, what did you think of this new trailer? Are you sufficiently hyped for the film, or would you like to see a little more before April 26?

Have another look at the teaser below and drop us a comment in the usual place.

I feel like theres gotta be a rematch...Avengers strip Thanos of the Infinity Gauntlet and basically have him beat, but Banners like "let Hulk smash" and then they 1v1 to resolve whatever Hulks performance issue was in IW.

Classic Rocky II style.

remembering that fake trailer description...

The Hulk is training at the new SHIELD facility with Black Widow and Steve. Steve notices that Hulk has been training non-stop as of late, so he asks why. Hulk responds in Banner’s normal voice with: “My rematch is coming real soon, I can feel it!”

Who did they use for Ragnarok? Don’t they mix Ruffalo with Feriggno?

This could be an unpopular opinion, but is it at all possible the name of the film, Avengers: Endgame is a red herring in itself. I don’t know if this has ever been done before, but what if we get to the day of release and pull the rug out from under us?? I’m not saying this is what I think will happen, but is it possible?? I float the idea only because other titles of films have been direct reference to the books (age of ultron, civil war, ragnarok). I don’t like the name of this film, it’s a little cheesy to me. I still think the movie will be tops and I can’t wait, but how crazy is my idea??

Maybe the Russo’s have been so secretive about this, im looking at things in too much detail

@AFriendFromWork - I am actually with you, since the very beginning, as soon as I saw the first teaser, there is something wrong with the title animation, maybe it is the font, the shading of the font for "endgame", maybe I am looking too much into it, but it just feels a little unfinished. Like someone just typed it in as a placeholder. It is also a little too cheesy and too on the nose, that the ending of the infinity saga will be called endgame, So I am with you.

@cptamerica - I’m glad I’ve got at least one person in my corner. Only a little over a month to see if we’re right!! You articulated some reasoning I don’t have the mental capacity to commit to words right now. I’m incredibly sleepy, but your point of the name not being grand enough to signify the end of this saga is noteable

@AFriendFromWork -
I am still leaning to the theory of Kang being included as the main villain. One does not simply have an Avengers Time Travel movie without including Kang as the main threat - that would be idiotic as it's very unlikely they will do the Time Travel aspect again after Endgame.

Thanos is not a threat worthy enough for a battle with every single hero in the MCU, if they find a way to undo the snap he wont simply be able to do the snap again as the Gauntlet is broken beyond repair (along with the damage to his arm)

Thanos can still be a threat for a majority of the movie, but having the main villain of the culmination of the MCU Phase 1-3 be Iron Man (Kang), a character we have seen grow and evolve would be the best option.

I need Professor Hulk to come through and unleash on Thanos. But I hope War Machine gets a few blows in too. He is woefully underutilized.
