Mike Colter Reveals LUKE CAGE's Status For AVENGERS: ENDGAME After The Events Of INFINITY WAR

Thanos snapped his fingers in Avengers: Infinity War and wiped out half the universe. Now, following the cancellation of Luke Cage, Mike Colter has revealed the current status of Power Man. Check it out!

Thanos' finger snap in Avengers: Infinity War has become known as the "Decimation" and while most of Marvel's TV shows appear to be stuck in the past (shortly after the events of 2012's The Avengers), fans are anxious to learn the fate of heroes like Daredevil, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage.

Unfortunately, Mike Colter doesn't seem particularly positive about the latter's fate as he's now confirmed that Power Man won't make any sort of return to action in Avengers: Endgame

"Am I in Avengers: Endgame?" Luke Cage star Mike Colter said. "Well, you know what? Based off what happened, I'm already dead, the snap has already happened with Luke Cage. We're dead, we're already gone! I hate to break it down, break people's... but no, no, we're not."

As for whether or not he has any interest in reprising the role on the big screen, the actor said he would definitely be open to the possibility. "Absolutely, I'd be down for [movies]. Anything is possible. These things are sort of up in the air, at this moment. It's pretty fresh. We got cancelled on October 19th, or something like that I think the date was. So yeah, it's still pretty fresh. We'll see."

Do you think there's a future on the small (or big) screen for Luke Cage? Share your thoughts below.

It’d be pretty crazy/awesome if the Defenders showed up for the final battle vs Thanos in Endgame. Wishful thinking...

@DBLACK - how does iron fist have more signatures than daredevil? What sort of bizarro universe are we living in? Next thing you'll tell me is that donald trump was elected president...

@Origame - I imagine its because Iron Iron Fist was cancelled first and the petition is older.

@Nightwing1015 - yeah, but that still shows people want that show back for some reason.

@Origame - Well Season 2 was an improvement, so i could see some people wanting IF get another season, so it can 100% redeem itself

Peoppe that still ask for the netflix characters to show up are in denial or havent figured out thay all those shows are basically mcu LEGENDS at this point like th old star wars eu.

The only shows that will truly be mcu will be the disney + ones.

This seems more like colter joking about the cancelation rather than actual confirmation cage was one of the victims.

What about their mention in Cloak and Daggar? Its sad there will be no sort of crossover there now. That could have been nice.

@tugboy - didnt seem like that was ever in the cards, considering the shows are on rival streaming services.
BIGBMH
BIGBMH - 1/4/2019, 6:12 AM
@Origame - Cloak and Dagger is on tv though, so it's not direct competition. They had a pretty direct call-out to Misty Knight, so it seems like there was some desire to do something.

eagc1995 - 1/4/2019, 7:02 AM
@Origame - You may be confusing Cloak and Dagger for Runaways, as Cloak and Dagger does not air in a streaming service, its on Freefrom
Origame
Origame - 1/4/2019, 9:31 AM
@BIGBMH - tv networks definitely view streaming services as competition. Especially since several have their own like abc.

There is more to these shows being cancelled than what we see. I really thought Fist was cancelled cancelled but then when Cage was cancelled? I thought for sure it was to do a heros for hire series. Then DD was cancelled and there is no way it's not because of something else. My thoughts? Disney pushed to get them cancelled so that all of them can go to Disney+ OR Netflix is taking aim at Disney by cancelling the shows like Disney cancelling F4 series to dig at Fox back in the day.
GwenLantern
GwenLantern - 1/4/2019, 5:21 AM
@Manmarvel - I think Disney is behind the cancellations.

There's definitely a reason and that reason is more than likely because Marvel has plans for some of the characters connected to the Netflix shows.

We will soon see at least one of these characters either on the Disney+ service or in theaters.

Maybe they just wanted to cancel all the shows so that they could include a cameo or two in Endgame.

Maybe we're actually going to see an Iron Fist movie as part of the Phase 4 slate (it would actually tie quite neatly to both Shang Chi and Dr. Strange).

Maybe all of the above?

@GwenLantern @Manmarvel - Disney are not the ones behind the cancelletion, Netflix are the ones who have the final say, even the guy in charge of Netflix confirmed it.

Its more about their relationship getting sour and Netflix not wanting to promote a show that belongs to their competitor
