A few days ago, Marvel Studios, via an interaction on Twitter with Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr, revealed that the hotly anticipated Avengers: Infinity War was going to be released a full week earlier than expected, debuting worldwide on 27th April. The film's directors Joe and Anthony Russo released a statement following this reveal, saying they were "so excited to bring this to you one week earlier so fans around the world can see it at the same time".
This however, is no longer the case.
Today Yahoo! Movies UK has confirmed that the 19th entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the "finale" event of the franchise as we know it, will in fact be opening a day earlier in the United Kingdom, arriving on the 26th April.
This isn't an uncommon state of affairs, as the UK have regularly seen earlier releases of Disney's Marvel films, but with the amount of hype and anticipation around this one, there's likely to be more than a little bit of jealousy.
What do you think? Are you mad that the UK will get to see Thanos hit first? Or do you live there and are happy about this? Leave your thoughts below.
