RUMOR: The Official Title For AVENGERS 4 Might Finally Have Been Revealed
Yes, we have heard that before - but this latest rumored title for Marvel's highly-anticipated Avengers 4 makes a lot of sense when you factor in the previous hints we've been given. Check it out...
Recently, Avengers 4 directors Joe and Anthony Russo shared a behind-the-scenes shot to their Twitter account which prompted fans to speculate wildly about the movie's official title.
While there didn't seem to be anything particularly revealing or exciting about it at first glance, it quickly became clear that the easel and the ladder had both been arranged to resemble the letter "A", which seemed to indicate that we'll be getting an alliterative title for the fourth Avengers flick.
Avengers Assemble? Try Avengers: Annihilation!
According to MCU Cosmic's Jeremy Conrad, this is indeed the title of the follow-up to Infinity War - or at least, it was up until a few months ago. Like that movie and Age of Ultron, there is a Marvel Comic series called Annihilation but that was a big cosmic event, not an Avengers story. Still, the previous entries weren't based on the arcs they took their titles from so there is a precedent for that.
How much stock should we put in this? Well it is in keeping with some of the hints we've been given in the past (spoiler for what happens in Infinity War, closest guess was “forever," scary) but we'll obvioulsy just have to wait and see.
