AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Hi-Res Concept Art Reveals Some Alternate Designs For Bruce Banner's Hulkbuster

With no sign of The Hulk in Avengers: Infinity War, Bruce Banner was forced to suit up in Hulkbuster armour to take on Thanos' Outriders and this concept art reveals some different takes on that armour...

The Hulkbuster armour made its big screen debut back in Avengers: Age of Ultron when Tony Stark suited up to try and stop the rampaging Jade Giant. It was one of the coolest fight scenes we've ever seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and so it's not hard to understand why there was so much excitement surrounding the Hulkbuster's return in Avengers: Infinity War.

The key difference, of course, was that it was Bruce Banner inside the suit rather than Iron Man, something which came as a result of him being unable to "Hulk out" and help in the fight against Thanos.

While the Hulkbuster we saw on screen only underwent a handful of cosmetic changes, some very cool hi-res concept art from Avengers: Infinity War has now been revealed which shows off some slightly different takes, some of which are definitely a departure from what's come before and what ended up on screen earlier this year.

@Saintsinnister - Serious he always does this. He's make a post for every page of a concept book. Goes and claims it's new. Next year he'll make the same post.

What's downright unethical is he's not even saying where it comes from.

The Hulkbuster design in Age of Ultron was considerably better than the one we got in Infinity War, but I still liked that design.

Ironman armour is the gift that keeps on giving. So much you can do with the suits that it is mind bottling.

As much as I love this stuff, I think the way they went was much better. The concept of both Tony Stark and Bruce Wayne having just endless supplies of money and manufacturing, not to mention the manhours and conceptualization, is getting a little stale. It's good to show some thing at least a tidbit more real-world. And in Infinity War they did this a few times, which I loved. Cap is on the run, so he uses his old beat up suit - Spidey gets the suit that was teased to him in his movie, and it's not changed or upgraded - and Banner uses (the only) Hulkbuster, minus all the peripherals, which is more of a Tony thing. Used can be a good thing. It doesn't have to be like the Original Star Wars trilogy, but please don't make it like the prequels!!

That bit in Avengers:Infinty War when The Outriders jump The Hulkbuster,I thought that was the moment we were going to see The Hulk and then The Hulk would of battled Black Dwarf.

But no,damn you Russo's.

@marvel72 - as much as I would have wanted to see that, I’m glad we didn’t. I felt like it was the perfect tease. It’s funny to me because when the Incredible Hulk came out, people complained about Hulk always fighting someone like him. And we go years with him fighting people who aren’t like him (from Avengers to Infinity War) and now we are at the point where we do want him to fight someone like him.

In the end I’m glad we didn’t see Hulk fight Black Dwarf because as cool as it would have been, the fight we all want to see if a rested up Hulk versus a rested up Thanos

@DarkArrow19 - I get what you are saying, however The Hulk is my favourite comic book character and for me more Hulk is a good thing. As for the Thanos rematch,it better happen in Avengers 4.

@marvel72 - I agree with you. As much as we knew he’d come out and basically save the day in Avengers, his grand entrance was epic so I truly hope Avengers 4 is even better of an entrance
