With final confirmation of the actor behind THOR's God of Mischief, Loki, Tom Hiddleston appearing in Marvel's The Avengers, an interview via HitFix, conducted during their set visit, may confirm past spoilerific rumors of a certain weapon, as well the Skrulls appearing in the superhero ensemble flick. The site reports:

At one point, we asked Tom, "So we had a chance to tour the weapons vault in Odin's chambers, and I couldn't help but wonder… if someone were to steal some of those weapons and head to Earth with them, that would take more than one hero to stop them, wouldn't it? Don't you think that might demand… oh, let's say… The Avengers?"

Hiddleston [smiling] replied, "Well, actually, that's not far off. What I've heard so far makes it sound like I'll have a great time in 'The Aven'--" and that's as far as he got before Kevin Feige leaned in close, and power-whispering something in Hiddleston's ear. The smile vanished and a suddenly-shaken Hiddleston continued. "You know, perhaps I'm not in 'The Avengers' after all."

With a spoiler warning, Latino Review reported earlier this year that Loki takes on the team by using the cosmic cube, firstly seen in Captain America: The First Avenger. And he uses the cube to get a hold of the Aliens (aka The Skrulls) to invade Earth and battle. What do you think?

Marvel's The Avengers picks up when an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security. And Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Clark Gregg, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Tom Hiddleston & Stellan Skarsgård, the film releases May 4, 2012!
