After hitting the rumor mill earlier this year, Marvel Studios has officially announced their latest Disney+ series,
Hawkeye, which will see Jeremy Renner reprise his fan-favorite role and mentor a young new hero: Kate Bishop.
With the series not expected to debut until Fall 2021, neither Kevin Feige nor Jeremy Renner were particularly forthcoming with plot details, but Renner did express his immense enthusiasm about getting a chance to explore a new side of Clint Barton that fans haven't necessarily seen before, "
What I get to do in the show ultimately is shepherd an amazing character, ultimately a better version of me and the sentiment of that is the fiber of what Hawkeye is, at least what I think Hawkeye is — a superhero without superpowers and I get to teach someone else to be a superhero without super powers.”
Feige also teased the series would potentially explore bits of Clint Barton's post-
Infinity War life as Ronin, which could result in some really killer action scenes.
HAWKEYE
Jeremy Renner came on stage and revealed the previously undisclosed title of the Hawkeye Disney+ original series. He joined Kevin Feige to give exciting news about “Hawkeye,” including details about Kate Bishop, a character well-known in Marvel comics, who will be an integral part of the series.
“Hawkeye” launches on Disney+ in the fall of 2021.
