POLL: Which Female Character/s Would You Most Like To See In The Avengers?

Ms. Marvel was the most popular answer to the Marvel Studios boss, with him pointing out that Jessica Jones is a favourite of his. Well, what about you guys? Which of the many female characters in the Marvel Universe would you like to see either in The Avengers or future movies? Below are some of the most likely candidates so cast your vote and have your say below! I'm pretty sure I've covered all the characters that Marvel Studios would hold the rights to but if you notice that I've forgotten anyone, just mention it below and I'll add them to the poll.

Jessica Jones

The recently un-retired superhero. Once retired after being abused by the Purple Man. When she recovered she started a private detective agency.

Jocasta

Once the Bride of Ultron, Jocasta has become honorary member of the Avengers after years of loyalty and sacrifice.

Maria Hill

Maria Hill was the director of SHIELD after Nick Fury went AWOL, and became the Deputy Director following Civil War until it was disbanded after the Secret Invasion. Maria now supervises the Avengers on behalf of Steve Rogers.

Mockingbird

Mockingbird was a SHIELD agent and a founding member of the West Coast Avengers. She is also married to Hawkeye.

Ms. Marvel

After encountering the Kree hero Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers was accidentally subjected to otherworldly radiation that genetically transformed her into a superhuman Kree warrior. She became known as Ms. Marvel, and has established herself as one of Marvel's most powerful and prominent heroines.

Scarlet Witch

Daughter of Magneto, twin sister of Quicksilver, mutant and member of the Avengers, Scarlet Witch used her powers to manipulate probability and alter reality in her effort to help the world.

Sharon Carter

Inspired by the tales of Captain America and her sister Margaret Carter, she decided to work for SHIELD.

She-Hulk

After being shot by some mobsters, her cousin, Bruce Banner (a.k.a. The Incredible Hulk), saved her life by giving her a last minute blood transfusion of his own irradiated blood. From that point on Jennifer Walters was able to transform into the Sensational She-Hulk.

Spider-Woman

Jessica Drew was former HYDRA assassin and SHIELD agent. She is currently a member of the Avengers and an Agent of SWORD.

Tigra

Greer Nelson (maiden name Grant) first appeared as The Cat in the comic of the same name. She later became Tigra through a mystic ritual that bound the soul of one of the Cat People to her own.

Valkyrie

Brunnhilde is the leader of the Valkyries and is one of Asgard's strongest warriors as well as Odin's chooser of the slain.

Victoria Hand

Victoria Hand was previously Norman Osborn's second in command, as Deputy Director of H.A.M.M.E.R. She was inducted into the New Avengers as Steve Rogers believed she deserved a second chance.

NOTE: The Wasp isn’t included as I think it’s a safe bet that we’ll see her in Edgar Wright’s planned Ant-Man movie.

Thanks for voting! The results will be posted in three days time on Firday 17th December.

The Wasp. Duh. With Ant-Man/Giant-Man of course.

Now in the sequel it has to be the Scarlet Witch. She was next. I wouldn't have introduced Her, Quicksilver, and Hawkeye until then.

anyway, Maria Hill. I don't know why, but I love that bitch.

Sharon Carter would make a lot of sense too, though.

What? Are we going to introduce half the Marvel Universe to the Avengers franchise before we get around to two of the actual founding members???

That's just plain wrong.

As I've said above, I've not included the Wasp because it's obvious that she'll eventually star in a movie - Ant-Man! plus, as I've already done a poll asking whether you guys wanted to see her and Hank in The Avengers (the answer to which was quite rightly a resounding "YES!") I thought it would be boring to include her here as she'd be an obvious winner! As for Scarlet Witch, a naive part of me hopes that Marvel Stufios hold the rights to her...perhaps they do! Please!? :)

With the fact that they aren't including Pym, that means no Wasp. And since Fox owns Scarlet Witch, she's out too. So they will definitely go with what sells most and at the moment, it's definitely Ms Marvel. I'm also certain that the Skrulls will be a future plot point so Ms Marvel seems that much more likely IMO. the only thing is, introducing her in the first film would mean a whole new origin for her powers... unless Captain Marvel happens to show up unexpectedly...

I would say Scarlet Witch but as she's tied up in the Fox X-men contract my votes for Maria Hill.

There are a lot of very very cool characters on that list.

Personally I think that Wasp should be in the movie.

But my favorote out of that list... the one that I think would be the BEST in the movie is MS MARVEL hands down.

I would just love to see a strong female character in the Avengers. Not that Black Widow isn't strong, but I just want to see a female super hero that can fight on equal terms with the big boys. She Hulk would be another good one.

But really all things considered, Ms Marvel is the best all around.

Are we sure Fox has the Scarlett Witch? Sure, her first appearance was in (Uncanny) X-Men, she's a mutant and her daddy is Magneto, but 99.99% of her appearances in comics has been in the Avengers comics.

Maria Hill, and that's it. The actual team itself is big enough as is, so we don't need more members. Supporting characters, and having another SHIELD agent is the most sensible choice.

Maria Hill or Ms.Marvel
JoshWilding
JoshWilding - 12/14/2010, 11:25 AM
I've already accepted that we're not going to see Hank and Jan in The Avengers so Ms. Marvel is the next obvious choice. Introduce her as an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D and give her powers by the end of the movie, even if it means altering her origin story somehow. If not that, just establish her ready for future films! Now, as for who should play her...

Yvonne Strahovski

Ms.Marvel2

Maria Hill should also be there in a fairly minor capacity IMO. Save Sharon Carter for the Captain America sequel.
TheLoisLane
TheLoisLane - 12/14/2010, 11:25 AM
Ms. Marvel is the only choice! For me, anyways.

Except leeharvey's suggestion. That would also be acceptable.

@ JoshW She would be my #1 pic to play her too!
