hmmm ... you know, i really enjoyed thor, even better the second time. and, geek that i am, i have now watched with the branaugh (sp?) commentary, and man, the movie he thought he was making did NOT come across at all. virtually at every level, from sets, to allegories (Jesus? come one!), to relationships, etc., he thought all of this grandiose stuff was being portrayed that never came across at all. and i don't think it is just me, i follow these movies pretty closely. just one of many examples: the intro segment which he says "grounds them on earth initially" is really just a technique borrowed from iron man (remember how the movie starts in the desert?). also, even the mundane, like a shot of the scientists sitting on the roof -- that was "dutch angles" to convey "what i thought comic book panels should be like." wtf? there are literally a million other examples.

I know right Indy! What up and coming star as being rubbin' shoulders with the big and bad Spielberg? I know Nolan likes to think he is the big and bad, but I assure you he isn't that.

^LMAO @ Brew

ThreeBigTacos = Avengernite (right? right?) I've seen enough Batman in movies, and here's the kicker: he's my FIRST FAVORITE superhero too! I don't care if Nolan is some huge director, Wheadon has my vote, because he's trying to tie a universe together from other director's work. He's making something much larger than TDKR.

I would love to see Enchantress and The Executioner in Thor 2 as they look more into Asgard itself. Hopefully they sets up a third movie in which case I would love to see Beta Ray Bill introduced.

Yeah, because it's not like Nolan thoroughly trounced Spielberg in 2008.

Seriously, Nolan's name easily has just as much pull in the industry as Steven's does now.

Not to mention James Cameron being one of his biggest supporters.
