Aaron Eckhart has gone from stating the impossibility his dead Two-Face character would return in a Dark Knight sequel, to casually implying nothing is impossible when it comes to movies. Now, the actor seems to be outright lobbying to reprise his role.

Bridget Day of the Hollywood Scoop reports that the actor, who has won praise for his roles in ‘Thank You for Smoking’ and ‘Possession’, has said, "I think I’ve talked myself out of the job. I thought I’d died. But you know America’s grown up on soap operas and reinventing people so why doesn’t Chris take that into consideration (when he’s writing the script)?"

He also adds, "If Chris asked me back, I would love to. Heath really was meant to come back as The Joker (for the next movie) as we all would want him to do so maybe this will be the way it is and be its own little thing."

Ledger had a guaranteed role in Chris Nolan's vision for a sequel to The Dark Knight. Sadly, we will never see this story line played out since the young actor died of a drug overdose in January 2008.

As well all know, throughout the years comic characters are revived faster than B-movie zombies. But would this same ploy take with fans in the new Nolan-verse?

Thanks go out to Hollywood Scoop and Entertainment Daily for this great find.
