Aaron Eckhart say's Anne Hathaway Will Be 'Wonderful' In 'TDKR'

Eckhart talks to MTV about Anne Hathaway. Hit the jump to see the video.

Eckhart told MTV News on the red carpet outside the Spirit Awards:

”I was just with Chris, and he's pretty tight-lipped about things,"

Nolan's third Batman movie will include Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, best known in the Batman universe for her villainess alter ego Catwoman.

Eckhart expressed high hopes for her:

"I think Anne Hathaway is going to be wonderful"

Eckhart made himself available last year, just in case Nolan had a change of heart, but now that the script is getting finished, and the big remaining casting searches seem to be limited to females, it's probably safe to consider Eckhart politely and amicably finished as a Bat-villain.

The closest he would come to complaining about his absence from "TDKR" was to joke about sucker-punching Nolan after hearing that Harvey Dent wouldn't appear.

It's too bad Eckhart won't be back. I always thought they could have done a little more with the Two-Face persona. Incidentally, has anyone noticed that this has been the second time an Eckhart has died in a Batman movie?

@Knightstalker- So true. My friend kept telling me it made sense for him to stay 'dead' but dang it DID feel like Two-Face got a bit shafted in that film. I mean yeah they showed plenty of Harvey pre-two-face but once Two-Face materialized and started acting like a total BADASS then...he just fell and died =(

I really thought he might've survived and they just faked his death, it seriously seemed like they did because his death didn't seem too clear at the end of the film...not sure if I'm alone in noticing it but his death did seem a tad bit shady.

As for the other Eckharte are you talking about the fat cop guy who was kinda corrupt from the 1989 Bat-film? The guy who Jack Napier shot? Because dang i just realized that now that you mentioned it! lol

At least we know the cast is very much capable of producing magic. Now it's up to Mr.Nolan and his crew to make it possible.

He loves talking about TDK. I like that. You can tell he misses it and wants to be part of it.

How is this news?

In a related story, Tobey Maguire says Andrew Garfield will be 'great' in The Amazing Spider-Man.

He should be proud, because this movie is going to tear people's faces off with it's amazingness!!! Oh, and @intruder: sweet poster, man!

@LP4....It works for Harvey to stay dead, but it could just as easily work if he had survived, but yeah...they spent a whole movie setting up Two-Face's origin only to kill him off ten minutes after he becomes Two-Face. Incidentally, I went back and watched that fall again and realized it wasn't any higher than Batman dropped Maroni. Harvey should have survived.

@grif
Every time I look at the comments section in Batman related editorials i see you are your BS. Nobodys gives a crap about the reboot of yours.

Ease up Shadow, Grif has as much right as anybody else to voice his opinion. He's not engaging in any personal attacks on any individuals that comment here. I don't agree with him on rebooting the Batman franchise, but I respect his opinion and would invite him to elaborate on why he feels the need for a reboot.
