BATGIRL: Is WB Hoping To Land TWILIGHT Actress Kristen Stewart To Play Barbara Gordon?

We're hearing that Warner Bros. is looking for a “Kristen Stewart prototype” for the role of Barbara Gordon is the upcoming Batgirl movie. Could they be looking to land the Twilight star herself, perhaps?

Batgirl may not be making her big-screen debut in the Birds of Prey movie, but her solo film is still very much in the works, and it looks like Warner Bros. has begun to think about casting the role.

Twitter's Daniel R - who has been spot on with DC-related scoops on numerous occasions - has heard that the studio is looking for a "Kristen Stewart prototype" to play Barbara Gordon, and believes that they may be interested in landing the actress herself for the part.

We'll obviously have to take this as a rumor for the time being, and, of course, even if WB does want Stewart for the role there's no guarantee she'd be interested. Last we heard, the Twilight star was in talks to join Elizabeth Banks' Charlie's Angels reboot (expect an official announcment on that soon), so she may not be available anyway.

What do you guys think? Could you see Kristen Stewart as Babs? Sound off in the usual place.
